Hi, unconfirmed but seen on HUKD Stella Artois Cidre 568ml £1.39 in Tesco and £1 in Asda0
-
well i could probbaly start using all the cleaning products i've stockpiled but not yet used
.....back to normal life ......what was that again???:D-
oh yes ..... cooking and cleaning and washing and ironing, not ignoring the other half or children, not sneaking peaks on the computer at work when should be working and not sneaking out in lunch hour to get a dtd fix, not being a miserable c** until vouchers come throuh or a nervous wreck until shop is done and then an insomniac because planning next shop....
.......getting evenings and weekends back to spend time with family, meals other than pizza and chips and a variation in ice cream other than magnum.
having to talk to real people not virtual ones again.....
ah man i'm so going to miss this thread and dtd:(:(:(:(

You do crack me up.....and I thought it was just me who went thru this. I did 2 shops before work, was late, nipped out in my lunch, was late back and sneaked entering vouchers whilst working !!!The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have0 -
I've just worked out my cash spend in Tesco so far, since the promotion began:
14th - 24th March - £133
25th March - present - £215
Total so far: £348!
In that same time period, on my normal weekly food/toiletries/cleaning products budget, I would have spent £192. This promotion needs to go on for some time for these figures to look good! However, should the promotion end tomorrow, I imagine I could do very well on little more than a tenner a week for months, due to the stockpile of stuff I now have!
EDIT - This doesn't include the L'Oreal toiletries I bought the other day as that came out of my birthday/Christmas present budget. It also doesn't include the £100 I spent on a new chest freezer to accommodate the growing supply of frozen goods!
I'm still only on Day 8 of my inventory - the growing mound of stuff to be added is just too much to even contemplate listing...10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -
Hi all,
THanks to everyone..again.
For those who haven't received your vouchers yet- I was waiting for a voucher from last week. I had given up on it. Kept re submitting my receipt and email details over and over again. THen I thought I would try sometihng different- Tried a completely random email address and hey presto! My voucher appeared on the screen. ALthough I had given up, I secretly vowed that if I found my voucher, I would give the value of the voucher to charity- So that's a tenner out of my pocket- but still well worth it.

Sorry fellow SS Editors - my planned shop due to be back by 8pm turned out to be 10:30 . Went with my best mates other half whilst he is working in London (she doesn't veer off her usual routes so any adventure to a new Tesco although welcomed is always a bit of a trauma for her) and she insisted on bringing Archie dog and visiting TK Maxx en route (I know us blokes are often slated but my experience is that we are focused beasts at least). As a result of the addition of the pooch meant sequenced shops, one in, one out, then me back in for a 2nd dip then a trip back to drop the pooch off, back to the local T's and a further shop. In my first shop in my locality there was a lady behind me with a fancy for Flash and Surf - please stand forward, we discussed being friends of Martins :-)
In the 2nd store, my best friends mum was in front of us in the queue and another DTDer that we had also seen yesterday towards closing time - unfortunately I have not discussed if she is also a friend of Martins with her but the Muller corners and loitering near the magnums and Chicago Towns gave the game away. All in all, I've been out since 7:15 - on an hourly rate, this is not working out well.
I think tomorrow will be a couple of public transport journeys for speed although the company and humour with my best mates pet dog and other half is more fun. I'm gonna have some tea then can do the spreadsheet late shift till about 12:30 or till my eyes close0 -
Right peeps I need your help, I've been waiting for a voucher back from the 11/4, which would have been the 5th and last voucher. I have not had 'the dreaded e-mail' but the only reason I can fathom is that 'technically' I have gone over £100 (before the voucher cap). For example, each of the 4 previous shops would have had a DTD of say £20.xx, or £21.xx, as I was always making sure I was over the voucher total instead of under and had to find something quickly at the till. Therefore with the 5th voucher, again being £20.xx it would have tipped me over the £100 limit.
I did read someone trying to explain this earlier, but I was slightly unclear, but basically they were saying that you need to keep track of the actual DTD amount that Tesco tell you as its this that determine when you go over the £100, which is fair enough, so then I had a look in the T&C's and it says
the total amount of Price Check Vouchers that can be claimed is limited to £100 per calendar month per household.
So does this mean that we can have 5 vouchers of £20, no matter how much the actual DTD was, even if it had taken us over the £100.
I know I probably haven't explained it very well, but I know what I'm trying to say if that makes sense
Anyone got any ideas on this??
Basically, what tesco say, and what tesco do, aren't the same thing. Originally there was no cap on the actual individual voucher value, so their system was probably set up to just double the difference when calculating the total amount received. They then fudged in a fix to cap them at £20 - but probably didn't change the underlying calc method for the £100 limit. SO it's still looking at one place and not accounting for the cap which is applied afterwards.0 -
