maybe the tills don't run sequential till receipt numbers? ie all the tills that are currently in use at Ts run receipt numbers at the same time. So till 1, till 2, till 3, all processing shopping at the same time, till 1 prints receipt 1, till 2 prints receipt 3, till 3 prints receipt 2, and till 1 prints receipts 4 and 5 because of how quickly the Cashier processes the shopping?
This is what i'd assume is the case.0 -

2 have came back NA today on yesterday's shop but were ok on Friday's shop - Cadbury's Mini Eggs Treat sized - £3.30 and also 2 x Lindt rabbit 2 for £5.

asda pulled all teh easter eggs and stuff off the site so loads got caught out even though they was there when people shopped...0 -
