I think I'm going to finally go through the bags of DTD stuff in my kitchen (I really need to get into the habit of unpacking stuff, but when you shop everyday, it becomes such a chore! Hope I don't find a stray box of melted Magnums!), clean the cupboards, stock them and sort the fridge/freezer out; similar stuff in the bathroom; do a week's worth of eBay packing ready for posting on Tuesday and finally unpacking the DTD bags of stuff in my bedroom, sorting out the toiletries and creating as much space as possible.
I'm also going to continue on my 'inventory' of stuff bought - I'm only up to 22nd March, so I have tonnes of stuff to add.
You'll have a good day! Think of the room and surprise storage spaces you'll find!
I haven't eBayed for agesWill have a sort out and make a conscious effort to list things in May.
I finally reached the point today, when I thought, where will I put todays shopping. Can fully understand how those that started right at the beginning, reached that point so early on!The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
Potential DTD:
Tommee Tippee Easy Grip Cutlery Set T: £3.97 A: £2. Net cost £0.03.
Won't make it to a store anytime soon, so would be interested in finding out if this works.0 -

Another thread on MSE. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/42475436#Comment_42475436
Joined it at the beginning of this year, although it's been going for a couple of years I believe.
Discusses ways to spend less, recycling, where bargains can be had, savings to be made. Lots of tips to be found reading that thread!
A lot of the subscribers try to work out their budget, and aim to regularly make savings on it, one way or another. Some then join other threads, like the sealed pot challenge, no toiletries (which I'm sure you'll have seen mentioned here).
Some try to have days when they spend absolutely nothing, or a minimum spend day, of say, a couple of pounds.
Some are more frugal than others, from necessity, or desire. But all are welcome.

I have a business on eBay so I flit between that and reading every post on here! Technically, I've given myself a day off tomorrow, but still have over 30 new lines to list. And, no, I haven't used DTD to stock my eBay shop (yet)!
You'll get there with the hoarding! When there was no cap on vouchers, I would have been happy had Tesco ended the promotion instead of bringing in the £20 limit, I had that much stuff! Now, I live with hundreds of carrier bags full of stuff and no floorspace - if I died now, there'd be photos of my place in the local paper for sure:

That is really interesting , I am going to look at that thread, I did wonder what no toiletries meant , but didnt like too ask , I am trying to be a lot more frugal , out of necessity , rather than desire. Hubby has got early retirement due to ill health , so you can imagine what we are living on as I cant work now as he is on 24/7 care. I cant even go out around to the shops without him now.0 -

Are you sure you don't live in my house?
Although I can't just blame Tesco for mine, it's a mixture of stuff, including some ebay dabbling as well!0 -

LOL LOL LOL sorry you really made me laugh then Adam LOL LOL LOL :rotfl:0 -
For anyone who's vouchers come back as 'processing' - which browser are you using?
I found that by using IE, using the back arrow and re-submitting it worked after 2 or 3 attempts whereas on Firefox it didn't seem to.
*Note: It doesn't work for everyone but it's worth a try.
I will try and bump this daily as it seems to have helped a few people and the query comes up regularly - and this thread moves SO FAST!
Thanks to the SS people for all your hard work!0 -
