Tescoland i recon !! Up in Stokes Croft I must admit there was serious rebellion against that tesco being put there , but at the end of the day , they knew they wouldnt win. It has already been opened, that fiasco the other day wasnt caused by the tesco's store, the police raided a house and it all kicked off. I will leave you to your imagination what type of house they raided lol
Thanks Jude.
Here in Gateshead, the second most famous monument in the burg has been demolished to make way for a Tesco.
Obviously, the most famous is the "Angel of the North", but the second most famous? Well, if was the multi-story car-park used to great effect
in "Get Carter" the iconic Michael Caine movie, not the poor re-make with Sly Stallone!
All that I can say is " Well done, Gateshead Council and Tesco"!

Finest Scottish smoked salmon.
*Specially selected salmon sourced from clear Scottish waters, cured with salt and sugar and smoked for 24 hours. With a picture of a shore line - the sea with some rocks in the top lefthand corner of a black coloured card.
that was me thankyou!:)GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

Aw thanks. It's a guesstimate as we never see them all together but we do get a LOT of updates through. Every new item has to be double checked before we add it too. There's probably easily 20-30 hours a day, possibly more, that goes in to keeping it updated between a few of us.0 -
Thanks Jude.

Firstly, massive thanks to the SS team and everyone helping out on this. I have dared 3 shops so far. Messed up the first two by doing general shopping at the same time and of course, Asda were more expensive on some items so my DTD vouchers were heavily reduced!
I have read loads of the pages to try and understand everything but I am confused about 3 things:
1) Why do people keep talking about paying by cash. What's the problem about paying with your debit card?
2)what does 'killing my voucher' mean?!
3)Is everyone putting the same email in for all their claims? Or using lots of different ones?
Many thanks in advance0 -
ATTENTION ALL ANDROID USERS
Dont know if this has been mentioned before...
My OH has just figured out how to use the barcode finder to bring up asda's price. You need to download the barcode app, go onto custom search, type in http:// groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=%s (with no space after http:/) save that as your custom search, scan your item and press custom search and HEY PRESTO :j tried it on a few items and up it pops on the asda site on your phone
we used the app by ZXing team0 -
Last dopey questions ...... why are people not using their clubcard and why? Is it only when using the DTD vouchers that I shouldn't use my CC or should I not use it at all? I've already used it for my first DTD shops but not printed off the vouchers so now I'm panicking.
Also, why are people asking if the vouchers can be used against clothes? Are there restrictions (apart from the usual petrol, tobacco etc) for using the vouchers?thesimplethings wrote: »I have read loads of the pages to try and understand everything but I am confused about 3 things:

Same queries here. I have more than £100 but I don't know how best to split the vouchers across me and the hubby. Should I hold off submitting and risk the offer being withdrawn or can I submit all receipts now but don't use the clubcard?0 -

Quick versions:
1) paranoia! Those who are breaching the £100 limit/daily limit/whatever else are concerned tesco might track by debit card. I've seen no sign of it so far but hey, most Tesco have a cashline right outside
2) Killing a voucher - buying goods with it which don't get you any further DTD, can be deliberate for a fresh start, or accidental because you got something which didn't work!
3) Tesco track by email address only as far as we can tell....and there is a £100 limit which appears to be enforced by email address...I shall leave you to draw your own conclusion from there!:D0
