Can I ask if your beef had the same bar code as the spread sheet? The packs my parents found yesterday over 1 Kilo, had a new bar code. Thanks

I only matched the first couple of numbers, but yes it all seemed to be the same to me. And one of the lumps of beef is now slowly and tenderly cooking away in my slow cooker, yum! :D

sorry this doesnt make sense to me. if one buys dtd items and some items not priced matched and one pays £5 in cash as well as a dtd voucher how does one lose out?

you don't lose out in your situation.

i quoted a shop by jintyblue; in which all items were more expensive at tesco. in that situation, you do lose out.

EDIT: just realised jintyblue bought some reduced meat for about £2. But that's still £3 paid on expensive items at Tesco

p.s. @ jintyblue, you were very lucky that the reduced meat did not price match, otherwise you could have lost out a bit more!

thankyou, but is it like my above shop the dtd amounts there to 10? or are the DTD amounts already worked out on spreadsheet so I could get efecitively double this amount and recieve a 20 voucher? thanks

The DTD amounts on the spreadsheet are the "DOUBLE THE DIFFERENCE" so you want those to add up to £20.

One loses out because the £5 cash would have bought more in Asda. Usually one only complains about items coming back N/A because there is a cheaper equivilent product on asda.com. The person could have bought the cheaper item directly from asda and saved cash. (the dtd voucher is irrelevant because it could have been used for something that would definitely return a dtd value).

ah ok. so n/a might be cheaper elsewhere so one shld 'check' those items even if they are not being priced matched at tesco. thnks. -- the problem with dtd is the voucher is only useful if there is an actual (excessive) need for those products on the list .. unless one is building up a voucher value from a less actual spend.
