hey all, this thread moves too fast for me to keep up. Never done any DTD shops as of yet. I see examples of peoples baskets on here in posts with 2 cash amounts.

E,g one basket was full of items but it said something like £28 and then £18.

What do these amounts mean? Is that what was paid, and what was given back in a coupon? If I "copied" their purchases (all being that the prices hadn't changed) would I get the same? Thanks for the help!

Taking your example of £28 £18. this means that the goods in the list cost £28 in Tesco and would have cost £18 in asda. This gives a difference of £10 which tesco double and then send you a voucher to the value of, in this case £20. So you would have spent £28 in T and then would get back a voucher for £20.

If you copied the list then you would probably get the same BUT prices are changing often, sometimes daily so you would need to check both Tesco.com and asda.com to see if they still cost the same. Also there are cheaper ways to get a £20 voucher.
Have a look at the spreadsheet for ideas just remember that while T has honoured an item previously it may not do so again so maybe only buy things you will actually need (at least to begin with).

    well done!

feels good, no? you'll get addicted lol

just some advice for future shops...try and be just over the voucher amount with you DTD shops.

for example, with your shop, you gave £5.39 of your money to tesco on overpriced items; so in a way, you have lost out a bit.

try and make sure that you pay below £1 with you DTD shops.

    :)

sorry this doesnt make sense to me. if one buys dtd items and some items not priced matched and one pays £5 in cash as well as a dtd voucher how does one lose out?

For max dtd, make sure your shop is £10 cheaper at Asda and no more.

thankyou, but is it like my above shop the dtd amounts there to 10? or are the DTD amounts already worked out on spreadsheet so I could get efecitively double this amount and recieve a 20 voucher? thanks

    Hi there
    Can anybody help.
I got 4th voucher today all 4 for 80£ in total. Can I use the last one now or it is better to wait till May.
    Thanks.

You could use it, and then submit the new receipt you get on a new email address. it's not strictly speaking in the terms and conditions, but what a lot of people are doing.

Or you could risk one more on the original email ady, but personally I wouldn't as it might take you over the £100.
Tesco are calculating the £100 on what you are entitled to without the £20 cap. therefore is you had a £21 DTD capped at £20 x 5 times you would be over the £100.

One loses out because the £5 cash would have bought more in Asda. Usually one only complains about items coming back N/A because there is a cheaper equivilent product on asda.com. The person could have bought the cheaper item directly from asda and saved cash. (the dtd voucher is irrelevant because it could have been used for something that would definitely return a dtd value).
