I bought the mint to-day. Also at £1 on Asda website. Will let you know tomorrow.

I'm just trying to catch up on the thread, so apologies if this has been answered already, it was me that mentioned about the mint one being a possible DTD yesterday and I had it confirmed this morning. I posted on here that it was confirmed and also did a spreadsheet form, so hopefully it is on there by now, if not the i;ll do another form.

Once again apologies if this has already been sorted out, I'm only on the 6.30pm posts!!!!

My local was so busy today I did four shops.. Couple of bottles of wine, back to the car, couple more, back to the car, then two shops one after the other. My consience is clear now I know too well how much prices are manipulated by the supermarkets..

i did 4 today also, me and the wife did one each in one store, then went to our local and did 2 more.. 1 of them was out usual weekly shopping though but we used a voucher to reduce the £100 bill of it..

The advert has just been on tv again advertising 3 for £10 meat and the dtd advert incorporated in it. Has anybody else just had it between the 2 episodes of corry street.

Don't really want to get involved in a moral debate, but I have to say, even though I know many of us (me included) are breaking the t&cs I actually don't feel like we are doing anything morally wrong - because imho tesco is such a big bad company! I see nothing wrong with getting some freebies from a company who made 3.6 billion profits last year by abusing their suppliers and overcharging their customers.

I agree that none of us who are breaking the t&cs can criticise someone else for breaking the t&cs more. I think the more you break them the more at risk you are of drawing attention to yourself and making future shops more difficult, but it's up to the individual how much, or little they want to do.

Anyway, thank you to all contributors of this thread and the ss editors for making our lives much, much easier!

To be honest it must be something we knew deep down. How many times have we seen something manipulated? Typical example before Christmas October period £10 for Quality street 2 for 1. Then £5 ish for a box forever afterwards. Imagine if this was on then. I'b be looking like a

Really hoping dtd lasts till at least the end of summer, could do with saving spending money towards our holiday.

Bought 2 toothbrushes, the disney £10/£2 ones, today to go in the holiday kit and needed to buy 2 lots of £10 of other shopping that only gave back £4. I think I have been brainwashed it was awful buying things that weren't dtd or low dtd, lol, but I got there in the end.
I would love the promo to last until the end of summer! :D

But two scenarios are more likely: Tesco kills it shortly after Easter (usually most Tesco promos end shortly after Xmas and Easter), or Tesco kills it as soon as ASDA kills their 10% refund promo.

It's not the same actually. There is a difference between 2 and 5 shops per day. It depends what level of greed you as an individual are comfortable with.

The only difference between 2, 5 or 7 shops per day, one after the other with the same checkout is that for 2 shops you can easily get away with 'for my neighbour, mother etc) for the second shop. Very few people can reasonably expect to convince Tesco staff that their 6 or 7 piles of shopping, all using a maximum DTD voucher are for all their different neighbours and relatives!!! Anyone who has the balls to try this is sticking two fingers up to Tesco and, although a few individuals might like the challenge/thrill of seeing if they can get away with it, most of us try to be just a bit more discreet. The end result might still be the same in that we do get more 'shops' than we are supposed to be allowed but at least it doesn't make it quite so obvious.

You could argue that McDonag is actually being more honest with his multiple consecutive shops than others who are doing several a day but are hiding it by not doing them all at once in the same store.

I do think some people are being greedy but I don't feel I can make overly critical comments because I am certainly not playing Tesco's game as they intended! people in glass houses etc etc.
