Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 5

Moonie, I am one of the very few people sticking to all the t&c regarding this. I don't use the speadsheet, I've been following this thread since it started but I've only received £50 in vouchers. But that is my personal decision.
I enjoy this thread. There are happy stories, sad stories. There are people stocking up on loads of stuff. There are people giving stuff to people less fortunate than them. Each to/from his or her own.
If you don't like this thread, move on. But, to be honest, I think you are jealous of the stuff people are getting. Learn to live with your conscience. I don't condone everything that goes on here but that is up to them. They have to live with themselves and so must you. If this thread goes against your morals, stop subscribing to it.
I think you've got the wrong end of Moonies stick! Unless I'm dafter than I look I thinh he IS taking full advantage of the scheme and is bending a fair few T&Cs. He just has an issue over ther F word relaing to re-use of unsigbed vouchers - a case of where we draw the line. I could be wrong there but I don't think so.ELITE 5:2

Was going to kill my DTD vouchers off purchasing inks for pc noticed when comparing on asda.com & tesco.com
Lexmark 36 Blk T £18.97 A £17.00 DTD £3.94 Cost £15.03
Lexmark 37 Col T £21.97 A £17.97 DTD £8.00 Cost ££13.97
BUT has anyone purchased ink do they know would they come back NA as I thought had read on previous posts way back but would have no idea how to find the posts as so many LOL.
Appreciate any feedback
Not sure about DTD but these would be WAY cheaper on eBay!0 -
Moonie, the problem is that you just keep going on and on about it ! (as do one or two others soI am not singling you out). There is a lot of sense in some of what you say but you are wasting your breathe.
I think that its broadly agreed that everyone on here who is doing targetted shops, using the SS to select bargains , using multiple email addys and ficticious relatives etc to get round the £100 cap is bending the T & Cs in a very major way! I don't think anyone can possibly dispute that. Many, if not most, people see the re-using of a receipt which the SA hasn't signed as an infraction of a higher order though - a bit like using a £20 note that we know is a forgery (we've had that discussion before). I know that argument isn't 100% valid but the majority see it that way.
I can't see the point of going on and on about the F word - its probably more accurate to term it major abuse of the T&Cs as opposed to the minor abuse that most of us are involved in. Nobody is going to win the is 'it/isn't it' fraud argument and we might as well just get on with our own methods of screwing Tesco in accordance with our own feelings.
I don't agree with the arguments that Tesco is fleecing us so why shouldn't we fleece them back - we all know we are being as devious as hell so we might as well admit it and stop trying to put the blame for our deviousness on Tesco.Expect nothing and you wont be disappointed0 -
A friend of mine is a manager for tescos and he tells me that over the last couple of weeks they are having price changes from head office on a daily basis and they are struggling in store to keep up!
I did ask if he thought there maybe a reason why so many price changes now.....he doesn't know why.
I don't work for tescos but I believe it may be cause they shot themselves in the foot and are trying to keep up with the rivals.
I also don't tell him about my little dtd hobby.;)0 -
Well I am taking a chance on cod & beef today. If it kills the voucher so be it as I'll simply start afresh another day.
Then I'm going to A to do a proper shop for a reality check. Not worried about the cost just want to do a 'normal' food shop, will avoid toiletrie (sp) aisles though.0 -
I was about to head to Mr Ts to get a bottle of the vsop courvoisier brandy @ 30.99 70 cl but it is no longer on the spreadsheet yet the prices are still different, can anyone confirm it is now a n.a?
TIA
it was probably removed due to age. If deals aren't confirmed within a period of a week, we delete them to stop the spreadsheet getting out of hand.0 -

Remember to put your reciept in for difference + 10% :rotfl:0 -
Aargh - just realised I not only bought some full size magnums instead of the mini's I was after but they affect my DTD which should have been £20 as they are more expensive in Asda. I bought the right ones (4 packs) and some crunchie icecreams but thought I'd get some reduced mini's as they are more diet friendly to use up my voucher. Just checked and Asda have them at twice the price Tescos do. At least I only got 2 packs.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

A few folks now are having problems using a voucher when the previous was also a voucher shop. It wouldn't be the end of the world if that became the case. I did try this to begin with( and still do occasionally) but usually nowadays I use the voucher for a normal shop, or to take advantage to stockpile on any great tesco deals on things I like.
I cant live purely on the stuff on the ss. I already have enough cleaning and laundry things to keep me going for a long, long time.( doesn't mean to say I won't build on them though:D). I also have too much weight to lose to buy some of the ss stuff.:)
In the long term i can't keep this up. Might be different if I didn't have a full time job though. Definitely would be different if was unemployed. I think I will end up keeping within the £100 limit and using my cc( but that might change:rotfl:)
I have a feeling others will also begin to cut back on the number of shops. This can only be good for those where this promotion really make life less of a struggle as it won't be pulled in the near future.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -

But I perhaps should bring another voucher into play, maybe up the fun of the game and allow hubby to use it on predetermined lists that must be stuck to to the letter
That's sort of what I do. To avoid having random baskets, I target certain areas - cleaning, toiletries, food cupboard, meat, freezer etc. Stops me ending up with more Comfort Strawberry than Cornetto Raspberry! And I keep a couple of vouchers unused so if the new ones don't arrive on time I don't get withdrawal symptoms! It's all about being prepared isn't it, but I have found it got easier as the days went by.
I told some friends about it in March, they all said it wasn't worth it! We all know different, don't we!
