  • Just thought I'd share my recipe for using up left over joints of meat, and some other DTD goodies.

Leftover roast meat (have tried with both pork & beef, lamb would be great too)
1/2-3/4 chorizo ring sliced (remove outer skin before slicing)
    1 onion chopped
    1 aubergine cubed
    2 courgettes sliced
    1 pepper
    2 x tins napolina tomatoes
    1 tin chick peas
    1 tsp cumin
    1 tsp tumeric
    pinch of ginger
    salt & pepper to taste

Heat 1 tbl spoon olive oil, add chopped onion, courgette, pepper and aubergine and fry for 5 mins.
Add spices, leftover roast & chorizo, and fry for another 5 mins.
Add tomatoes and chick peas, bring to boil then simmer for 30 mins.

And voila a lovely hearty spicy stew, which would be great for winter...lets hope the Price check is still running then!

my first shop so need to get it right is the ss up to date at the moment and for first shop we should be spending around 20 pound and looking for a dtd of around 12 each is this correct.

Also on the front page it says that if you are using a dtd voucher to start ur first shop . I have never been in tescos in my life so my first shop is my own cash and then i get my dtd voucher correct?:j

The SS is only ever as up to date as people make it. Before doing your shop you need to double check prices on asda's website to make sure nothing has changed that you are planning to get.
You should aim to spend around £20 and get a dtd back of around £20 also for your first shop.
  • Very discreet! :p Thankfully, you're not in my store (yet) - if you were, I'd be tempted to nick your print-out. I only use people's posts on here in determining what to buy but since the SS came along, the posts are few and far between (sob).

    Which is yours?

Thanks for the suggestions for ink cartridges, I have an Epson C66 so the Tesco option isn't a good idea. I think I ordered one off amazon before, I was pleased to have paid around £3.00 but someone said that I was stupid because I could have bought four for the same price elsewhere. Some charming people amongst the friendly helpful ones.

Was hoping not to spend anywhere near £35 as I will be using the printer regularly for my uni course.

Thanks for the suggestions though :)

    try ebay.
i have epson, not same model but simlar looking cartridges.
    had no issues with them.
    u can get 12 for £5

You use cash to get your first voucher.

It is entirely up to you how much you spend and how much you aim to get back. You can easily spend £20 and get £20 back.

The vouchers will not be issued for more than £20

Yes, the S/S is up to date at the moment as far as we know.
