Thanks for the suggestions for ink cartridges, I have an Epson C66 so the Tesco option isn't a good idea. I think I ordered one off amazon before, I was pleased to have paid around £3.00 but someone said that I was stupid because I could have bought four for the same price elsewhere. Some charming people amongst the friendly helpful ones.

Was hoping not to spend anywhere near £35 as I will be using the printer regularly for my uni course.

Thanks for the suggestions though :)

I've just been to our big Extra store (in a city in the South West) with two vouchers from last weekend now they've finally come through with amended times. For the first transaction I went to the basket-only aisle where the CA called a supervisor over and they both stared at it for a while, then asked me why the total on the original receipt and the voucher were different! What on earth did they think it was? As I tried to explain the customer services lady (who was nearby) noticed and called the supervisor over, saying DTD vouchers have to go through them. They processed it without even checking the numbers though so all okay.

I was cautious about going through with the second voucher in case they got picky about two transactions in one evening, but I picked a few bits up and then went to a different till where the guy again looked very confused by the voucher. I had a screen-print of the products to prove it was the same transaction, but again the difference in totals seems to confuse people. He did check the numbers himself though and the difference in time (and odd 0's and 1's the stupid thing adds itself) prompted him to call a supervisor to check - turned out to be a different supervisor though, an older lady who just looked at the different numbers and said oh yes that's fine, waving it through! The CA also tried to give me back the original reciept entirely un-scribbled on, though he may have been distracted because he was asking about the deal and I'd just told him about very cheap litres of Bacardi you can acquire through DTD!

The highlight of my evening was spotting another DTD-couple in the meat aisle, perusing the (sadly too small) silverside beef. They had lake district cheddar and finest roasties in their trolley so I put two and two together and asked if they were price checkers, which they were! We shared some tips and had a grumble about the overly small beef. Hello if that was you, and hope you found some more good ones!

Wouldn't do that as then you commit fraud

you mean its against the t+c ;)
  • Same here, not seen any 'definites'. Saw a woman with a few jars of Dolmio looking at lamb a few weeks back. Stood from afar watching her to see if she picked up racks. She didn't, she went for brains or some such.

Saw a woman with a load of cheese in her trolley, but they were the B1G2F Cathedral City or some such.

Saw a guy today around the Ambre Solaire with one pack of baby wipes in his trolley. Raced over to ask the question, only to find they were Tesco own-brand.

LOL! I'm not hard to miss. Im the one stood their with my excel spreadsheet shopping list, with my DTD highlight in yellow alongwith pictures for verification if needed......:o

Judging by my parents use of computers, it would have been pointless. Old people are completely clueless despite it being so simple.

Well, it's pointless having this thread then if it's so simple. It's bl**dy hard work, and takes up a lot of time. Hardly anyone "gets it" when first told; it requires a lot of hours to become even half way proficient.

From what I've seen, the same questions come up time and time again on here (which is fine), and I'm guessing it's mostly younger people posting, based on the responses when meeting anyone over 50 on the checkout! :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm hurtling towards being an "old person" :D (already at the invisible stage as a woman over 50 :o)...and further, classed as a trout  (if met in Tesco) just because of my age and sex...

    Ageism is alive and well...:(

If you use the voucher again, I hope you do get caught. That is illegal.

Question for my wonderful Dtd shoppers.
I am going easter egg shopping with my £20 voucher of course!
Just comparing sites, asda as 3 x large easter eggs for £10, Tesco has 2 for £8. Am I right in thinking if I buy 3 from Tescos I will get DTD.

    Thank you kindly.

I bought 3 of these today and also 2 of the medium ones T£2.50 A£1.00 (they are 3 for £5 in T) cost £19  but hopefully will get £14 dtd, not too bad for £5
