Just back from Tesco and had a funny moment in the booze aisle. I was standing looking for the 70cl Whyte and MacKay whisky and a middle aged couple were standing just next to me.

I reached out for the correct bottle and noticed that the 1 litre bottle was the same price. Quickly double checked my shopping list and picked up the 70cl bottle.

The man beside me said 'oh you get a much better deal with the 1 litre bottle, looks it's the same price as the other one".

I mumbled something about Tesco Price Check and the net cost being £6ish and quickly scurried off with my 70cl bottle.

They must have been wondering if I was a bit doolally

I doubt the Asda marketing team are as stupid as the Tesco's marketing team.

Yes, fiano price changed yesterday i think - down to approx £5.60 something so it is still a DTD but nohere as near as good as before

are you joking?? Right now tesco would be delighted with that! We all pay to shop at tesco and asda picks up the tab.:rotfl:

Don't bet on it I can remember a time when they tried to steal customers from Tescos by offering to take clubcard vouchers. People were taking in hundreds of pounds of clubcard vouchers that they had used online with Tescos. lasted a couple of weeks before Asda pulled the plug.:D
