    Just a quick tale of our dtd shop tonight at a local tesco extra.

    I did one dtd shop, the OH did another, nothing outrageous, usual wipes, ice creams etc and a few other bits. The store is one of 5/6 within a few miles of where we live, but is the most furthest away so the least used by us. Never had any probs there and the staff are usually nice, if not a bit unaware of what dtd is.

    Anyway, I scoot straight through with my shop, the young guy SA just took the voucher, signed receipt, smiled and went back to sleep.

    A different story for the missus. The young girl says "OOh, I don't know what to do with this". The OH gives her a quick training session but this was met with a vacant face and a half-nod. She then buzzes for a supervisor. The supervisor comes over and tells O|H she has to take her voucher to the Customer services desk.

    Off to Cust services we trot. 2 ladies behind the desk. They look at the voucher, look at each other. One mentions a training/instruction memo but "hasn't seen it for weeks". OH then proceeds into staff-training mode (well-rehearsed by now-Tesco should take her on) and the 2 cust.service staff are hanging on to her every word. They put the voucher/shopping through with a smile.

    I think that's proof that at least in this store, there is no updated staff-training and it's down to pot-luck as to how the vouchers are handled.

    And I can't find any of the 3L lenors anywhere!!!
    In one hand and out of the Other!

    LOL, makes me think of my 13 year old lad tonight, went to my checkout for a £20 dtd, and gave him a £6+ voucher I had 'aquired' from a somewhat smaller £3+ one by catching the flumps at 11.30pm the other night!!!! Anyway, his shopping list was....

    2 crunch corner yogs 1.22 50p
    Frijj Fresh Classic Shake Strawberry 500Ml 1.10 50p
    Nestle Cookie Crisp Cereal 375G 2.09 1.00
    LYNX RECOVER, SHOCK, FEVER or RISE SHOWER GEL 250ML 2.37 1.00

    All things a 13 year old lad could buy without looking suss, and all designed to up the voucher value!!!!
    ;)

    I give him the brief before he goes to pay dif SA, like if they not too sure, just say oh I think you check them bottom numbers, blah blah blah, and make sure they sign old receipt, which they may or may not give back to you, although they should.

    I got done first, then stood by the wall at the end of his checkout..... his items were scanned, then he handed SA the voucher and started rattling on like he was reciting from a Mr T training manual.
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Why don't kids understand the meaning of discreet??? I defo think Mr T should give him a job.
