Slightly Off topic, does anyone know what Tesco's policy is on the Direct products instore? I was looking for toys for my children and spotten something in store for £30 that is only £20 in their catalogue (and £15 in Argos - does that count?) and something that they claim is price matched to Argos but is actually £20 more expensive.

    If only these were DTD!

Sorry to quote myself, does anyone know the answer please?

    Many thanks

For those who keep finding nice future deals..... Would it be useful if we added "future deals" as on option on the S/S form, which you could complete with the details including the future date. We could then keep these in a hidden tab and check them the day they are expected to go live and if the prices are as expected, add them to the big S/S?

This is just an idea but.......

Whilst I think it's great to get a heads up I also think this could hinder our DTDing

Just look what happened to the Turners Road wine.......it was down on the Tesco site as going back up in price as of today but people kept mentioning it here and Tesco have extended the offer till May

Now it may be a coincidence that this happened but it may be better to keep schtum about future deals.

I may be completely wrong of course, and if that is the case......ignore me! :rotfl:

can anyone help me with the Lindt gold bunny 50g please.
its on the spreadsheet as confirmed today, but I can't find at all on Asda website (today or yesterday) tried typing in all types off descriptions with no luck

I found this Bunny. Is 100% confirmed , my first find.

Its a very small bunny in gold with a bell around its neck , not to be confused with the big bunny which is about £4 or 2 for £7.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for the thanks, lalamb!

I've actually just uploaded an update to my Android app which adds the number one requested feature - multiple baskets (i.e. multiple shopping lists). It also updates the spreadsheet link to the new one.

For those that already have the app, just go to My Apps in the Android Market on your phone and it should be listed as an update (v1.04).

For new users you can go to https://market.android.com/details?id=uk.co.ashtonbrsc.android.dtd to install the app (the link works in any browser and on Android phones) or just search for DTD Calculator in the Android Market.

Please note that this is ONLY for Android phones. I hope to try to program an iPhone version soon.

    Ahhhh you're welcome.

Credit should be given when credit is due. Most people are so busy trying to find deals(me included) we sometimes forget to thank those who are helping the DTD cause! :T

    Just reading the T&Cs

Price Check vouchers cannot be redeemed against purchases of petrol, lottery, tobacco, infant formula, cafe, pharmacy, gift cards and mobile phone top up or at the Tesco Direct Desk.

    https://www.tescopricecheck.com/pricecheck/pages/tsandcs.aspx

The Tesco Price Check is made against comparable grocery shopping only, as defined above. It does not include any non-grocery categories whether available in store or online or any in store concessions.

No, this is how they are. The stores are aware of this issue....or at least they should be!

This was why I suggested it for the spreadsheet - we would keep that tab hidden so only the admins could see it, and people could submit deals without them being mentioned on here.

So it would remove the issue of Tesco spotting us hovering vulture like....they would only become publically visible once the prices had actually changed, but very quickly after that :D So we;d get the new deals quicker.

I'm also, at some point, going to add in a column to the SS for date deal added and flag these up so new deals can be seen easily
