there's a problem on the spreadsheet with the following entry as the sums don't add up:

    19/04/2011 tesco 1ltr pure apple or grapefruit juice * 2 £2.00 £1.50 £1.00 £0.21

net cost is a pound right? i have a splitting headache so it could be me seeing things wrong.

Anyone noticed your petrol / diesil going down a lot faster? We are using about 200% more each week lol

We have a deal in our house,My OH calls me the DTD fairy as he leaves his receipt on my desk and it magically turns into a voucher with a shopping list attached, and in exchange he becomes the PETROL fairy, who mysteriously fills my car up with petrol:rotfl:

Quite a few pages back( well it is fast moving!), the question was of just how much you were actually saving per month. Were you actually spending less? The answer for me is no. I spend about the same. The fight between Asda and Tesco means that tesco( and presumably asda) has actually got some great prices. I tend to use most of my vouchers to stock up on these. So- I am not saving on spending every month.. However, when this deal stops( or becomes less appealing) I WILL be saving as I have a huge stockpile of various things. I reckon my monthly spends will be lower for up to a year.

We have all done really well whatever happens now. I am beginning to think that tesco is getting more from us than we are getting from them. Think of the market research that is going on. Are we guinea pigs? Will the headlines call us a nation of pancake lovers? have brands paid tesco to up their own brand's share of the market?

I do think that the list we have is becoming shorter. Slowly the deals are drying up. Perhaps they have done all their research and now using here ( and other forums) to tighten up. Look at Turner Road. Several of us( and yes I am a culprit) posted that we were really looking forward to today when we could buy a bottle of TR and get more than its cost back as a voucher. This morning it had changed to today being the last day before the price went up. Suddenly its now on offer till the 17th May. Tesco don't need to send their staff round to check asda prices- we are highlighting the deals so well now they don't need to bother. The ss has meant that many of us are doing far more shops than we would have done so its done us well and no mistake. What if we are being used as market research- do we care if we can gain so much?
Thank you tesco for what must be the biggest money saving promotion ever. Perhaps they will keep it going for a while longer, with less bargains. I'm not sure if I will be disappointed or actually a bit relieved when its over. I do know that its difficult to walk away from saving so much but please let me have my life back(:rotfl:)
