quick question for the people who update spreadsheet (buy the way great job guys)
when i get my results back from price check if they are all results that are already on spread sheet but they are showing as being confirmed one or 2 days ago should i still send you the results so you can alter confirmed date of deal on spread sheet or do you only want new deals and deals that no longer work sending in ?

We want to keep things as up to date as possible, so any date changes are definately welcomed.
  • hmm agree and disagree. At the end of the day, lets make no bones about it, if you are exploiting a loophole in a promotion, and getting round the (albeit lax) fair use policy, you are defrauding the company. It may not feel like it, but that is what it is. You are intentionally bypassing a fair use policy that has put in place, for not insignificant personal gain.

I don't know how much information is captured at Point of Sale or on the price check website. I think it is worthwhile everyone asking themselves the question over whether they are prepared to be pulled up or investigated based on their shopping pattern. Play by the rules, then you are fine. Flout the rules, and be prepared for an investigation.

Hmmm agree and disagree, agree that people are flouting the t&c and cannot complain if they run into problems, however, certain Tesco store staff have been rude and ill-trained and do not have a clue if a shooper is abusing the rules or sticking to the monthly household allowance.

This promotion has been shambolic from top to bottom from Tesco and the behavious to innocent shoppers in some cases has been nothing short of disgraceful.

I have posted confirmations to the spreadsheet but it isnt showing? Are these being inputted manually elsewhere once submitted? (a good idea i think)

We still have to authorise the changes into the spreadsheet, and are working through them now as they are coming thick and fast :)

yes we still have to update the front page manually but it means we have all the data in one place.

£9.99 - it only takes 3 digits. I have had assistants put in an £18 voucher twice - I.e. £9, then £9 again. I have also had one suspend the trx and take me to CS desk and complete it there (after the unknowledgable staff member took some time to work out whether they needed to call the mgr due to coupon value).

IMO best to go to a staffed operator, lot less questions asked!

Thanks...wasn't sure what to do as I have a £2 off coupon from a box of finish AND a £5 off voucher from Quantumatic. No idea of the best way to use the vouchers!

Don't know if posting this helps

As predicted I got £17.70 back, would have been £19.68 if Tesco's had sorted their price tickets out
If you are playing by the rules and terms of the fair use policy, you will have nothing to worry about. For those who are... making the most of any loopholes, be prepared for whatever tesco decide to do next!

I think that's part of the problem. Some people are clearly breaking the rules and are getting caught/worried about things. Honest MSErs are getting nervous because they don't realise they have nothing to worry about. If you have stuck to the T&C's there is nothing Tesco's can or will do. Don't be nervous or worried, I know it feels like we're in that Burger King advert but it's a Tesco's offer and we're taking advantage of it. After all, if you got a B1G1F or B1G2F offer would you be worried that they would question it? Maybe I've been lucky but I've had no problems either time I've used a voucher, hell the young lady that served me yesterday was MORE than helpful and she didn't even ask to see my receipt (Maybe I have an honest face ;) )

EDIT: Forgot to ask, am I the only one who can't change the quantities on the SS? I've never been able to change them nor have I been able to sort the columns, both are very important functions, unless I make a copy myself which has been impossible since it changed to auto-updating.

yep, the training handed out seems next to nothing, which has led to suspicion, and those who have had bad experiences should complain (assuming they have nothing to hide!)
