Says freezable on the blurb on the tesco website...anyone frozen it before?!
Friend of mine buys smoked salmon from sainsburys when it's on offer and freezes it for xmas. I don't think it comes out quite as nice but for the price of this you could freeze a pack, defrost it the next day and see what you think.0 -

I am a student and I work part time every weekend.
Not all are referred to as 'trouts', the 'trouts' go out of their way to make what is normally a pleasant experience, unpleasant. We are not in the wrong, they are, it's their policy.
Now, enough typing, this time could be used to study the spreadsheet and plan my next shop!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
glad i'm not the only student doing this then....

I have read some of this thread to see what all the fuss is about and I can see that there are some bargains to be had.
However, this appears to be an addiction to some people on here, from an outsiders perspective it is almost obsessive behavior. People unable to go to Tesco's for a day feel like they have missed out, people visiting 3 times a day.
This is not a dig, just a genuine question, do the hardcore dtd's work? I know working full time the chance of a daily visit to a super market would be highly unfeasible.
Secondly, the referring to check out assistants who are merely following their line managers orders as 'Trouts' is unnecessarily offensive. These people are working for a living and should not be subject to this terminology. If you were not trying to abuse the system then maybe this 'heat' would not be apparent when using the system.
Yes, the occasionally bargain from Mr T is a great feeling, but to institutionalise this and incorporate it into your daily routine, is very border line, 'odd' in my humble opinion.
Needless to say I will be shot down from a great height for this, however please take a step back, look in and see if you are all displaying rational, non obsessive behavior before posting.
Thats all
Or, maybe, for people who are struggling it makes sense to make the effort to incorporate this in to their daily routines so they and their families can have a better standard of living than they would otherwise be able to afford?
Many people use these boards because they are struggling financially for whatever reason. Free food and household good from Tesco could make a huge difference to their lives. If you don't need it or want to do it, don't - but don't mock others.0 -

YES! YES! YES!
While it may againts the spirit of the promotion, many of us done multiple DTD shops a day to generate a DTD voulcher or just to use up a DTD voulcher with no problem to-date. HTHx"NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS FREE FOOD"

I work full time and i go to Tesco in the evenings. One trip one basket.
I have never met a 'trout' before but don't think there are any problems using a catchy term to describe a certain type of people.
Trouts don't follow line manager orders if you ever read some of the bad experiences. If someone using one voucher with one shop and meets a difficult cashier, then it is fair to call he/her a trout.
But if using multiple vouchers with multiple separate shops one after another, that is open to debate. If people take the !!!! then expect the same too. (One shop per household per day although some can argue it is for granny aunty etc)
By the way, it is not everyday we get free stuff for so little effort. Cannot blame the enthusiasm there.0 -
I think Credit-Crunched is right!
Sitting here in my undies, bath waiting, bedroom pulled apart for a tidy up.
All I can think about is how to spend my 2 x £20 vouchers. I'm absolutely barking mad! Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Also, even if you have a full-time job, there are TESCOs on every corner and the majority are open 24/7. Surely it wouldn't be hard to pop in on the way home/ way to work? It's not like you're buying a load of shopping, its usually under 10 items. It takes me about 5 minutes to grab them all, then queue and pay, which again only takes 5 minutes.0
