And facebook/media was free on alternative networks but text would have cost something? And he was worried about running up a bill? Out of country calls and txt's cost plenty - perhaps they've been warned against doing it by the school, you know, so the school doesnt have a bunch of peed off parents at the gates when mobile bills come through?
(No idea really, just looking for an answer)
Anyhoo bedroom cleared.
bed stripped
Winter dooby in the storage box under the bed.
Summer dooby draped over the line.
Washing sorted.
Got in me lower size jeans too today, couldnt get them over me bum before. Bit tight round the thighs but on and done up easily. Still not losing weight tho
and my Dsis has lost 8lbs in 2 weeks  yeah I know I should be happy for her but it winds me up no end! (ohhh the family history - lets not go there, it would sound a lot like jealousy, where really it's my over exaggerated sense of Libran fair play :rotfl: )
I've been doing Slimming World since last July - and have recently upped the amount of exercise i'm doing - weight is dropping slowly, but inches are moving quickly!
There is no logic to it - but as LW says enjoy the fact that you can wear the jeans......
AND RIP Elisabeth Sladen - my probably my favourite DR Who assistant of the old era.....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Kaz chocolate usually works best
Ironing all done
Bedding all dried
Going to set the wm and then off to bed to read for a bit, feeling grumpy today for no real reason, lack of any peace and quiet from kids I expect. I shall inspect DS2&3's rooms before I go to bed to check that the tidying has been done.
Toots hope the royal visit went ok, mine has not rung so I might be off the hook for tomorrow but we both know that may just be making things worse.
hex thanks for joining me, I had to iron a shirt for DH this morning at 7:30, I've done them all tonight now for another week.

Dusty great news for DS2
Valli (((hugs))) angel - thats very naughty of them and you should tell them when you get the chance - dont sweep it under the carpet - like you said it took a lot of effort for you to finance it.

Dusty thanks honey - yes it passed without incident you might say - only 3 hours late this time - several negative mutterings about the house and 20 million questions about finances - next visit is friday or sat afternoon - at least I have a day or 2 to brace myself. Took his curtains to Mr m's and the lady said that they would be £17 to dry clean but she would try washing them, having read the label but I'm not to tell anyone;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

No, you're absolutely right, I'm not normally posting at this time of the day. A neighbour has noisy water pipes - block of flats, any number of suspects - and they used their hot water at 5.30am, cue lots of banging and rattling noises from water system. So I'm awake and, like a bear emerging from hibernation I ain't happy.
Kaz: you may find your unwanted furry friends respond well to peanut butter, it's what all the grimebuster programmes seem to use for bait.
And I'm also sad at Elisabeth Sladen popping her clogs; her and Nicholas Courtney (The Brigadier) in one year:(
As I'm off to the queue at the Antiques Roadshow at 8.45, I now have 2 hours and 15 minutes to [STRIKE]kill[/STRIKE] use profitably; a pot of tea awaits me in the kitchen and Him Indoors was also awoken by the racket, so he's watching telly. Looks like I'll be going out in an ironed shirt after all...:rotfl:
ETA: not just an ironed shirt you daft beggars.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Yesterday just managed dailies & a little gardening as had lots of errands to run.
Today brings hospital for DS1 eyes & swimming lessons and it's day 3 of kids' ice skating course (Day 2 for DS2). DS2 fell over 3 times during his 1st lesson yesterday and announced he was giving up. I tried to buy some sallopetts to cushion his bottom but the shop has sent all skiing stuff back to the warehouse so I have sewn some dance kneepads into some jogging trousers in hope that he will try again.
Going to do HH run around to get ready, plus S&S's etc.0
