If it were me I'd be suing him for the stress he's putting you under. He owes you a phone and compo. What a horrid man.
But really...seriously?!' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -

Sounds like the boyfriend has had a lucky escape, for the cost of the mobile phone / excess he has had an insight into the family he was looking to marry into.0

because I feel I don't owe him as he never got me the phone I requested and things happen where things get lost.
like i say a blackberry is a blackberry, stop being picky about it,
She can do better than him, I don't think she is happy. Why is he in the right? He was showing off doing this. Everyone see's him as an atm anyway. Why is he picking on me
he isnt picking on you, he leant you his phone and you lost it and he wants reimbursed, simple as
maybe you didnt get the phone you requested because it was out of stock so they sent an alternative but does it matter since a blackberry is a blackberry,
he earns his money so its up to him what he does with it eg how he spends it, he had a phone but someone was irresponsible with it and he now wants to be reimbursed, if he goes to court with it he will win as he is in the right,
you ought to look after other peoples property in future,0 -

So, YOU break your phone, your sisters boyfriend has done you a favour by letting you claim on HIS insurance AND borrowed you another phone, the insurance company offer you the same phone you broke, but thats not good enough, you are ENTITLED to a better one? Why is that, exactly?
They offered me a selection, I picked another phone and they sent me the same one
YOU then refuse to pay the excess even though YOU sold the phone the insurance company sent, claim it was lost in the post when in fact you sold it (im a bit confused about posting the phone when you stated you sold it and upgraded via Orange) then "lose" his phone he lent you (yeah, of course you did, if by lost on a bus you mean sold it at Cashconverters) and YOU feel YOU are hard done by!
I told him I posted it back to him but really I sold it. Why should I pay the excess the stupid insurance company sent the wrong phone! I then went on to upgrade via Orange and got the Blackberry I wanted (As I was out of contract)
YOU then blackmail your family to take YOUR side, even though you have stolen 2 phones from him (actually, stolen it from the insurance company and your sisters boyfriend), try to break up your sisters relationship and still claim YOU are the "injured" party here!
How have I stolen it from the insurance? I lost his phone I haven't stolen it. My sister can do better than him

I bet he actually got it free on a contract aswell!!0 -
You told your sister to break off her engagement because her partner think you should pay for at least one of the two phones of his you lost? Seriously?
Can you not look at it from his point of view? Imagine you lent him your iPod and he lost it. Would you really just say 'No probs, I'll claim it off my insurance'. Honestly?0
