I'm still on a mission to drive down that overdraft! I was even mean at work this week and didn't buy raffle tickets! Scrooge eh?

So anyway, why is it, whenever you are really trying hard, you get a billion social invitations? I now have 5 people to catch up with - and I am hazarding a guess that 2 others will be calling/emailing soon for a get together. These extra 2 have just moved houses and they had already said they would like me to go over when they are settled in so....that'll be on the cards then.

Oh that sounds dead mean as well. I love all my buddies and some of them I haven't seen for months.

I'm just gonna have to be clever and see them all at minimal cost. Actually I have already said to one today that I can meet up but just for drinks (I will drive) and not a meal. The other's will have to be after pay day (next week).

One of the people who has moved house lives alone so I think I will offer to make him soup (he loves soup!) and take some tasty speciality bread to go with it instead of buying an expensive moving in present that he probably won't even like anyway. He's quite specific about what he likes and has impeccable taste. The soup's the best idea I think!

OK I won't moan - I will look forward to July and it's sociable-ness - and will be frugal about it. :)

Fab to see the overdraft looking so much better, and a fab idea to take soup! I am sure you will have a superb july - you are determined to beat this, so you will find ways of seeing everyone without it costing the earth!

And don't worry about the raffle tickets - you wouldn't have won anyway!

You wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway!

I'm really sorry everyone....I blew it today.

Went to town for a budgeted/planned for hair colour, which actually cost £5 less than I thought it would be. Good start.

When it was finished I went around the corner to the Surf shop that I visited last week (but resisted till nearer pay day right?) and found a bag I had loved last week but it was in the sale this week! So I bought it.

(It's pay day this week by the way.)

Unfortunately I also bought a top in there too.

On the way home I popped into John Lewis (ouch...you can hear that 'will' breaking from there can't you?). They had a sale on.

    Well need I say more?

All I can say is, the 3 things I bought were wanted to plug holes in my wardrobe so to speak and 2 of the items were in the sale.

My overdraft *will* go up and I have fallen off the wagon with a massive crash.

But I don't really regret buying these things as it should mean I don't need to go shopping for clothes for literally months & months & months.

It's disappointing that my resolve gets broken so easily though.

Oh well. I'm not going to go on about it as it's all quite silly sounding when you compare it to real issues but....I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking I was a DFW fraudster!

    I'll get me coat.....
