Much more important that a safety net for a trampoline is making sure that your kids know how to stop first. When they first go on, get them to practice stopping bounces - just bend their kness to absorb the impact.

Trampoline lessons are a great way to get them to do it safely too.

Tesco have an 8ft one with enclosure for roughly 97 pound, I seen them in my local store this morning, I bought a new one for our garden at the weekend from asda who are selling a 10ft one with enclosure for 99.99, The last one we had lasted 3 and a half years but we had to get a new one as the enclosure and mat got ripped, Hope to help :D

I bought my DS's trampoline 3 yrs ago and it's the best money we've ever spent, he uses it every day, unless it's raining or snowing! We got ours from Argos, my DS is a real lightweight, but we have all had a bounce around on it, we've had no problems, even with a couple of drunken (big) men, jumping on it, the springs have held up well. The net supplied did rot away just before the 1yr guarantee ran out and the manufacturer, Plum Products, provided a replacement with no problems. We have since bought another net, my DS and his mates tend to play "wrestling" and they do put a lot of strain on the net (yes, he paid with his pocket money!!) but I can't fault the product.

I have both grass and paving slabs in my garden. I used to put it on the lawn but I got sick of the large yellow patch of grass underneath. So I moved it to the patio. It creaks and squeaks a bit but it's been fine, no tethering needed. They have come down in price so much now, so do get one if you can, it keeps the kids fit, gets them away from the telly/pc/video games, and best of all, gets them out of the house!
