no its not but all kids play up queing alot take the mick thats why some parks are stopping thr que jumping for disabled....make no diffrent to me because i cant use them any way but this forum is turning into how to get fraudulant claims and pushing

Absolutely, I'll tell it how it is, but you are implying that children with genuine* behavioural/ developmental difficulties are just 'playing up', which is not the case. People do agree with you that the OP expects too much, what has caused reactions to your post is the way that you describe children with such conditions.

* I emphasise the word genuine because the ADHD term can be used by parents who try to excuse bad behaviour where there is no clinical cause.

I took my boys to Legoland last year. My middle son (who was 4 at the time) was given a guest assistance pass as he has ASD and find lots of people too daunting to handle.

When we had our hand stamped we were asked not to go on the ride again within an hour and I thought this was fair enough. It didnt spoil our day and we went on other rides before we returned onto others. We didnt see a problem.

I thought Legoland made great provisions for us. We have been to some other smaller themeparks (such as Drayton Manor and Pleasurewood Hills and to DisneyLand Paris) where we found the system to be alot worse.

Is it fair that an abled bodied person has to queue for say an hour each ride but a disabled person can go on 2 or 3 rides in that hour?

No, so the fairest thing is to what they are doing.

thats the problem the words adhd are used like the word flu and now it has no substance hence why the privaliges for disabled are being taken away and so much hatred is being shown to genuine disabled , disability is turning into a money /perk thing rather than acualy being disabled, sad that this forum is just turnning into ways to gather info to put on certain forms,
i agree with nearly every thing you post on here..but it has come to the point where im seeing to many dodgy questions leading to gettinng more cash or perks through legal loop holes rather than need..

o just wish i could make my statments as clear as yours but i am so messed up on meds its hard to say waht i mean

I do understand what you mean, but you are misunderstanding the OP's situation. Yes, there are people that claim their children have ADHD when they do not, but there are also those who have been clinically diagnosed and this is the situation here. True ADHD is not 'naughty child syndrome', it goes far beyond that. Indeed, many ADHD children are not naughty at all, but rather will get distressed and upset in busy situations.

The point you made regarding the OP expecting too much is spot on, nobody disagrees with you. As you know I will not condone or encourage anyone that is playing the system, but you need to get away from assuming that everyone with certain conditions falls into this category. Otherwise you'll start to sound like a certain other poster who just thanked you ... and you're far better than her.

In answer to this. I'm gonna step away from this thread but I hope you do educate yourself about what adhd actually is before commenting further.
