Hi jenniewb, could that be the HTC Incredible S ? Personally I would have the samsung galaxy s / the galaxy s2 / nokia n8 or the HTC you mention , I research what I buy and do not just follow the sheep who just get the iphone because its a 'status' symbol. Of the networks I prefer t-mobile however 3 comes a close 2nd. They have the best online accounting and 'in my area' have the best signal coverage.
Not sheep following! I got to test out a few different handsets at the Phones 4U shop (didn't like those I could afford, couldn't afford those I did like so bought nothing).
I tried out the Motorola Defy, the HTC Desire, the HTC Wildfire, the Samsung Galaxy S and the Nokia (can't remember what the name was at this moment). I didn't like the Nokia at all, felt to 'sudden' and didn't like the Galaxy S as it was too slow, also don't like the brand because it does (to me) feel like a 'sheep brand', I see more 18-24yr old boys with Samsung phones which just puts me off, not my thing.
I did like both the HTC's I tried, they seemed to move alot more smoothly and I just liked the feel of them weight wise, style wise in my hand (yes I know they'd end up in a cover and etc if purchased).0

Hi, thats my whole point, you have researched and tried most of the decent smartphones and could therefore purchase from experience, I was referring to the people who just 'want' an iphone because someone else has one, because it's the phone to be seen with, without even checking the competition. The iphone has some good points but is certainly not the ultimate phone that some make it out to be. Everyone has their own uses so what suits me probably would not suit you. With the Nokia N8 I liked the 12mb camera and the built quality although it can be a bit slow, the Samsung Galaxy S is probably the best value for money smartphone at the moment and with the latest software certainly isn't slow , every bit as versatile as the iphone but the built quality poorer. The HTC'S are also good but again built quality lets them down slightly . There isn't an ultimate smartphone , each one has it's own compromises.0

for some reason I would get the HTC EVO 3D, it is basically an HTC Sensation (including 1.2GHz dual core CPU, sense 3.0, same res screen), but it has 2 rear cameras which can take 3D photos and 720p 3D HD video, (but will also take 2D photos and 1080p video), and it has a glassesless 3D screen so you can see the content in 3D.
reason I would go for this over the HTC sensation is basically it is an HTC sensation but with a little extra, the 3D may just be nothing more than a gimmick but you dont ever have to use it, and it is one hell of a talking point.
rumor is that there is going to be a GSM version for europe aswell, as it is US CDMA only for now 0 0

I think the HTC only thing lacking is the battery power. At the moment if I were to get a mobile I'd go back to struggling with other bills to keep the thing going, (at least £20 a month I'd guess) and for that I'd expect £20 a month of some form of service. What I wouldn't expect is for the service to cut out due to battery power halfway through the day, I think when the ultimate handset does come out I'm there but at the moment, battery power lets down the current range out there.0

An iPhone 4 32GB on a sensible plan that isn't too big.
And I got it. £189 for phone though, which is OK. I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. There's an upgraded Desire HD due out in November, apparently, so I'll wait and see what that's like. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy with my current plan and phone (Mk 1 Desire HD)..If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

I'm waiting for the Desire HD to drop in price on PAYG. I did look at the new HTC but it's too small. My cludgy fingers need a big screen and my eyesight isn't what it once was, either."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
