Cleaning Oven

Hi has anyone got any recommendations for cleaning an oven and the shelves (also the glass in the door), i have mr muscle but it;s not really doing much and isn't even touching the glass

A bowl full of ammonia placed in the oven and left overnight...smells a bit so leave a window open but it'll make it look brand new in the morning. Mother in law has done just that for years and swears by it.

I use a paint scraper for the glass door and oven pride for the shelves.

i am an oven pride fan too but not sure about the glass.. someone mentioned a paint scraper - is that just a stanley blade in a plastic holder?

Yeah, just a blade in a plastic handle - cost a couple of quid from Wilkos. Scrapes all the burnt on bits off without scratching the glass.

If your stuck and can't get Oven pride, put a cup or two of Bio washing powder in the bath and soak the shelves hob racks and door glass overnight rinse off in th morning: job done.

omg i paid £3.57 for oven pride the other day you get a bag to put the trays it i must say i was really really impresseed with the results my oven looked brand new
