To those people who say there's nothing wrong, why would they put technical specifications in the auction if there ARE no technical specifications? Why would they not list the phone as a dummy in the title.

    Of course it's deception.

Laura, we're not just talking dummy phones, we're talking art fraud and a number of other offences.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • well i think their nasty people but if they do write its a dummy, or its a copy etc, then their doing all they legally need to

No. The title and descriptions of those items are predominantly indicating that the item on offer is a genuine item as described in the title, to whit a Nokia mobile phone and an iPod plus accessories. To use the iPod as an example, what the scammer is selling is a photo, not an iPod. The fact that the photo is of an iPod is irrelevant!

Also, you cannot, within a description, say 'x' almost all the way through and then in one place, in tiny, obscure lettering, say 'not x' and imagine that one has negated that which has come previously.
  • Has he been NARUed as well? I can't remember his eBay ID.

Aaah whilst you were away we moved onto other prey!
  • Started to read every post, and got a litle bored, if they make new ID's they can be EASILY banned(if you know their new and old users), just search for "suspended user" or something in help, and you can report them, and they get NARU'ed VERY fast, less than 24hrs usually.
