How come the police haven't acted? Has anybody been to the press about this?

I suspect the police would say that it is a civil matter. My impression is that eBay don't give a monkeys and the main reason they (apparently) ended a couple of his sales early was due to fee avoidance rather than the fact that the seller is a lying, fraudulent con-artist.

If there is an allegation (or multiple allegations) of fraud then the police are obliged to investigate.

I will speak to my friend in Hants CID and see if he has any contacts t'up north. This little toe rag shouldn't be allowed to get away with this. A spell in pokey is in order.

    Great news!
But remember that he may set up under another ID. Keep looking out for Picassos, Steve Irwins and dummy phones :)
    Can I help?
  • Now we've got to find out his new name, he's sure to get one, or check on his old one if anyone can remember it. People like him don't often just go away, more likely take a break then re emerge as someone else with similar scams.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

good find...it does say..in tiny letters..
Item is only a dummy phone not the real thing. You are bidding on a dummy phone

and it looks like he is selling a "picture" of an Ipod on another listing....
