Ah, I thought he would be bigger than that too! In his prime Paddy weighed in at around 15 pounds/7 kg and he is a similar shape....broad chest and solid boned. Vets often ask me if he was left un-neutered but same as your Teddy he was done at 6 months.0

I am very surprised myself really, thought he will be about 8kg.
He is short haired but his fur is very thick and he is big boned really with massive head.
Just now was in the bath and he calmly walked all the way from my bedroom to the bathroom (had the door open just in case there is any trouble in my zoo), he must have passed Zara without her noticing.
Then he refused to come out of the batroom as Zara was doing happy pup (ears down, tai wagging, but up, front paws on the floor - trying to get him to play with her) in the doorway, had to call her away and he went back on the window in my room....0 -
good god...6 cats! Ive got two and they are driving me bonkers atm!0

Sounds like Dexy, my parents monster. He has incredibly thick fur, really dense and quite short, his head isnt huge though. Just the rest of him! When he lies on your lap your legs go dead after about 20 minutes:o
