Introducing Ted/Teddy - can number 6 in my flat - arrived about 2 hours ago.
Somehow I knew that was coming... sigh... do not even ask.
Ted is not even vaccinated (will take him to Celia Hammond, they vaccinate for £20)...

Thought it sounded inevitable - but that was fast!

Did you see "By logging onto nvmonline pet owners can download a voucher for a discounted vaccination offering savings of around £30 from participating surgeries throughout May."? forum
Don't know if it's any cheaper than what you already have planned - or even if Ted is eligible. Might be worth a look.

They are all beauties - perhaps you could take advantage of their good looks : "If your pet is photogenic, and you are a good photographer, then it is possible you can make some money selling photos of them, either on-line or for use in posters, postcards, calendars, etc." therealowner

"Many people today are quietly making a living from stock photo sites ..." Photography
"People tend to forget about pet modelling, but just think of all of the animals that appear on TV, advertising everything from pet food to fashion, catalogues to films. They are all somebody’s pet..." prwire

Can Ted act? I see him as a James Bond type. "Usually light colored pets are preferred over darker colored ones, as they show up better. Additionally the pet must be well trained, approachable, and fully obedient. It will help immensely if your pet does any special tricks. The best place to start... getting it use to people and strange situations." realowner
I think it might be an affront to his dignity, though.

Just read back through older posts and I see Rita-Rabbit is thinking like me. (Must be our lagomorphic genes)

You have 8 mouths to feed - better get snapping!
I look forward to your first calendar.

I just had the best idea.... a MSE Pet Calendar!!! Between us I reckon we have enough pets to cover the next 10 years.... lol!:rotfl:
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind.
They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.

    LOL

I had an interesting day yesterday - allowed Chloe out into the garden.

Saw her for 30sek adn that was it.

Took me 5 hours to catch her later .....I was calling, she was miauuuuuuuuuing back to me and running away trhough other gardens, trying to get in all the HOUSES on the estate. She remembered living in the house so was stopping by every patio door and miauuuuuuuuuuuing to be allowed in.

    Ufffffff

Had a moment of doubt as Chloe wanted to beat all all the cats AND the dog and Fred absolutely hated teddy and was looking for him everywhere to hiss at him and try to beat the crap out of Teddy but since yesterday... wowwwwww nose to nose Teddy with Fred, lickig one another, today the same - necks extended, none to nose and then a little kiss those 2... so looks like all sorted now. Chloe after her "little" walk yesterday is much calmer now and ignores the rest of the cats.

    Uffffff

3 of them were puking all over the place the night before last, 2 are fine now, Phoebe puked again today but seems fine otherwise - blame it on Animonda Salmon which I have them 2 days ago. I normally give them Animonda "Bee and something" mix variety pack but got them 6 tins of Salmon and looks like this did nto agree with them....

So anyway - peace at home..... nice....

Ohhhh myyy, you do sound busy! That was Mr A when we moved here, he knew there were patio doors to go through, just not which ones!

Hopefully everyone is getting on OK now - my 2 have kind of come to an arrangement - neutral territory is the kitchen (where they get their meat) and the wee bedroom (dry food, water, litter tray) although there is sometimes the odd scrap.

My bedroom is a source of many fall-outs - Mr A always viewed it as his (she always slept downstairs) but she's decided she's going to sleep there too. After MANY fights, they are getting better and will eventually settle down - her in a bed by mine and him in a bed in the wardrobe but they still squabble about it every day. The other "bad" place is the lounge which she views as hers and literally tries to kill Mr A if he goes in/comes in the door. He's now started to go out/come in the front door but I have to shut her in the lounge while he's doing so as the hall is also hers.

However she absolutely ADORES the dog - very strange cat.

I just live in hope that one day everyone can live in harmony together - it's funny as one of my pals has 6 cats and they all get on (all different ages so didn't grow up together) and just seem to accept a newcomer without any problems.

I'd love another but with the problems just now and seeing how Miss M reacts to other cats outside, I don't think it'd be a good idea! (she def has the ginger temper).:(
