Has anyone had any dealing with either:

South East Orangeries
The Hudson Group
Hudson Building Contractors

...for any building work? I was wondering if our miserable experience is just standard service?

Massive failure to deliver on an epic scale - what about you? Please PM me if you can. I am guessing you are in the surrey area from your user name. We would like to make sure nobody makes the same mistake we have.

BTW, will be quite happy to publish my diary of despair in the next week or so, along with the list of mistakes that a builder should never make if they want any kind of reputation!

Southeast orangeries have gone in to liquidation .

Indeed we also heard that South East Orangeries, Keith Alan Perkins, has ceased trading.
The Administrators meeting will be held in a couple of weeks.
They knew their company was no longer viable but for months continued to take money off customers (tens of thousands) for deposits for work, windows, doors, lantern roofs etc. which they had no intention of ever providing.
We have no idea where all our money is gone but we do know that we will never see a penny of it back from Keith Perkins.
The lies were bare faced.
Keith Alan Perkins has already set up with 'Alltask Limited' Rochester and is continuing to do what he seems best at...

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Creditors who have paid by credit card can apply to their cc compnay for a charge back. I suspect most people will have piad by cheque however.

It is an offence to continue trading whilst knowingly insolvent. You may wish to report Keith Alan Perkins to the Insolvency Service for investigation. The liquidator may do this anyway when he has completed his report, but you could do it as well.

It may be worth contacting the local press too.

Thanks for the responses - although I have not been told officially I also heard they are liquidation along with Hudson Building Contractors (same outfit etc?). Hopefully the fact the served them notice before the liquidation appeared on companies house might allow us to make a clean break.

In the intersts of SEO, and I am referring to Search Engine Optimisation here, it was indeed Keith Perkins a.k.a. Keith Alan Perkins

I had knowledge of how they received money in the way of deposits at the start of new contracts and used this money to fund other contracts they were losing money on!!!!!!!!!
