No it's a grocery code.

This message only means the code can not be used at the time you are attempting to use it, NOT that the code cannot be used EVER again. If you try the same code at different times you will eventually be able to use it.0 -

I was under the impression it meant you had already used that code on your account... i.e. you have used it the maximum amount of times it's allowed. That's how it appears to work for me anyway.

That seems rather strange then, unless each store has a limit on how many vouchers they'll accept within a certain time frame, but to be honest I can't really see that happening
Out of curiosity I've just tried to input a code that I have used previously into an old Tesco account I had before I changed my email addy and it came up as "used maximum number of times" ... then I created a new account with a different email addy and it accepted it! ... so that throws that theory out the window
The only difference between the accounts is that my clubcard was linked to the old one, as I obviously transferred it over when I changed accounts, but on the new one I didn't add it. Therefore it is the clubcard that records details of all vouchers used, as well all our orders etc, so to get that message means the code must already have been used with that clubcard at some point.
I wonder if a lot of people aren't getting confused over the two different styles of codes being posted ... the short XX version and the longer code that is generated once it has been input into the system ... and thinking they're separate codes. The first 4 letter/numbers of the longer code usually correspond to the short code, sometimes in a different order, so it's quite easy to see if they're the same"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
