The solution is to start taxing people based on their BMI.
BMI does not measure fat though. Maybe you want the Body Fat percentage.

Then they would have to be sold into slavery, be made into dog food or exiled.

turn them into dog food? then all the dogs will be fat.

fat slaves won't be much use as they will just sit there and ask for crisps.

perhaps they can be exiled to live with their brethren in scotland.

I prepared to allow this natural pause in the legislative process to consult on alternatives.

Perhaps just feed them to other fat people.

What do you mean? A sort of 'Corporation' Tax?

Not a corporation tax, more a Corpulence Tax.

I like the cut of this chap RadiantSoul's jib.

Curiously, the Evening Standard had a report yesterday estimating that obesity costs London £900 million per annum in health costs and lost productivity / taxes etc.

I have an issue with flying. The main cost is fuel and the amount of fuel is directly related to the weight of the plane. At check in you should stand on the scales with your luggage and be charged per kilogram.

Some people can handle their lard and sugar though. Why should they be penalised.
Maybe issue a ration book then. You get so much "tax free" and your coupons are ripped from your ration book with each pie. Eat too many and you've no ration stickers left.... and the price doubles.

Not as outlandish as it seems. There are some budget airlines in Asia that have proposed to introduce exactly this.
  • i think only people with a job, and not claiming any benefit at all should be allowed the right to fly. this will cut CO2*

*even though man made global warming/climate change is just made up garbage.
