i returned the printer and got the refund - the guy had the cheek to say he had looked at it and it was only out of ink - doh! i wouldve noticed that - i only printed one job on it.......so, no way!!! epson wouldnt exchange as i hadnt bought it direct from them.........have ordered the new epson through a catalogue and if a fault occurs i know now that they will replace - thanks deanos for that.........

anyway, i filed a complain with amazon and have just received one part of the postage costs back - i am now just on the phone asking where the returns cost is - they have offered me a £15 amazon gift voucher as goodwill as the guy wont return anything more...........
