Anti Climb Grease

OK folks, I don't know if this is in the correct section of not, so I apologise if its not.
I live on the first floor of a block of flats and I have a problem of people climbing.
Just yesterday afternoon as was happily making a cuppa in my kitchen and was looking out the window whilst the kettle boiled and this young man, must be about 20 years old at highest was shimmying along the outside past my window.
Basically, in the Council's infinite wisdom, they built a ledge for the idiots to stand on. They re-plastered the outside walls down to the ground floor where they had bricked up the outside. Practically a rebuilt of the outside surface to make it look nicer. So in effect, there's a ledge that can be walked on.
What the idiots can do is climb up the drainpipe, stand on this ledge and whilst hugging the wall and gripping onto windows, they climb along. Not only that, but beneath my balcony is the same sort of thing. They climb onto the window sill below which protrudes by something like 6 inches, pull themselves up and then they're on my balcony.
I would like to know if its a good idea to use anti climb grease/paint or whatever it's called to coat the ledge next to my balcony, on the drain pipe, the gas pipe and beneath my kitchen window.
I'd attach a photo to this post to show you what I mean.

Why don't you report the issue to the council and get them to do this?“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

Definately an extremely bad idea.
You just know what will happen is that someone will still try to climb up, slip on the grease and injure themselves, then end up suing you for compensation (and probably winning).0 -
as long as you put a sign up its fine (as long as its over 6ft i think).
Also - who is going to know you put it there....... it wasn't me‘It ain’t over 'til it's over’0 -
Just spread the grease out over more than just your area, and if anyone asks deny all knowledge of it.0
-
Next time open the window...quickly....and splat. You can claim you couldn't reasonably expect anyone to be going past.0

Grab the brrom hanlde and do not use like an air guitar0

I had the same problem when I lived on the 1st floor of a tower block, I soon put a stop to this using vandal grease (I even included ground glass into the mix and with NO warning signs), ensure the grease is thickly spread to cause maximum disruption. This should be adequate enough to stop them, as it was for me for the 6 Years of my tenancy.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -

But if the OP wants to stay legal they should probably forgo the glass in the anti climb/vandal grease, and put up some warning signs.====0
