    Morning all

Dull and overcast here this morning, not sure about the temperature as I've not ventured outside yet. DH up and off to work but not stupid early o'clock.

Collected boys from MIL's last night, she'd already given them a cooked lunch and light dinner, so they just had dessert when they got home. DS1 then went to Cadets, I was mum's taxi. DH had egg, bacon, LO potatoes fried, etc, I had jacket pot, salad and fish. Have today as a day's holiday so will be spending some quality time with my boys, have a list of a few jobs I must do but am hoping the weather holds as we will go out on the bikes for a while, DS2 needs some practice as he'll be doing Cycling proficiency in a few weeks and then cycling to senior school from September, he has issues with balance etc due to his eye condition - so need to boost his confidence.

Had a play with the computer last night and the MrA 10% cheaper guarantee, now have a money back voucher for £3.85 and 1 for £1.70 total of £5.50 - thanks for the heads up on this, every little bit saved is better in the customers pockets than these massive stores! Also did MrT and have a £0.98 voucher for them too, don't actually shop there that much if I'm honest - but all savings are welcome.

Did remember to get the lamb out of the freezer, so lamb casserole for dinner tonight in this house, will do potatoes (not sure how to cook them yet, maybe mash or potato bake), veg and gravy. Have a couple of phone calls to make this morning too. Ironing mountain needs sorting too, will be addressing that at some point today, the "to do" list is getting longer by the minute.

Did get a nice lay-in though, didn't wake until 7.50am, very unusual for me, but nice all the same.

Now need to crack on otherwise day off will be wasted and nothing will get done.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

    Morning everyone.

Dullity dull here :( Bit cool too but I suppose that's April for you.

I haven't done a single bit of housework this week apart from a quick push round with the vac :eek: I love H being at home and the kids do miss him being at work BUT I just can't get stuff done :o

Might go clothes shopping this morning, want to get some key pieces for my wardrobe rather than aimlessly buying stuff that doesn't match with anything else I have :o As for paying for it.....well H doesn't seem to think twice about how we're paying for things so perhaps I should take a leaf out of his book :(:o

No idea what's for tea, H is supposed to be going out this evening for work so I have some LO lasagne from the freezer for me.

nothing else of interest or indeed OS going on here ATM. I am such a fraud this week :o

    Hugs and spoons all round.

Bargainbird - Hugs for you lovey, hope you're OK xxx Men are such a strange breed at times ;)

Bargainbird check your shopping online at mysupermarket, and only buy the things together that are dearer at Asda than Tesco (or Sainsbugs), (do your shopping in two lots if necessary) then you go to the Asda website at https://www.asda.com/priceguarantee and you enter the details off of your receipt, it tells you automatically if you have saved money or not. Tesco do the same thing too, there is a huge thread about the Tesco one in the Grabbit board. I do my shopping in two lots at Asda to take advantage. They don't count everything though, which is why its better to keep the things you know are dearer there to one receipt.

    Morning all!

Wee bit grey here today, but the girls have all woken in good moods, must have been their lie-ins that did it!! Went to see Source Code last night, was a good film, not too long either! Was also nice to catch up with my best friend, had a quick drink overlooking the sea before we went to the cinema, was jolly chilly but lovely!

Today I have to pick ds up from his mate's house, dw and wm are already going, bm to go on in a mo, girls will be continuing to paint their rooms, and I will be looking at the menu plan to see what we decided for today. Then I'm off to work till 9pm.

Have a good day all, as brekkie isn't coming to me I guess I'd best go and make it lol! xx

The brood let us have a lovely lie in this morning, sort of. DC3 got up at silly o'clock to ask for a drink and I couldn't get back to sleep straight away. He is still coughing and looks so ill, his temperature is still up but not so bad.

Today we are going to look around the DIY sheds for gravel for the garden. All our grass has gone as we are north facing and don't really get the sun and the boys racing around on it. We were going to put bark down but I don't think we will be able to afford it and as we are hoping to do a swap, I don't want to spend too much.

I need to do a little bit of a top up shop as people are eating stuff I have earmarked for different meals <eyes roll>

Will probably do a cashew curry tonight, which is a new one for us.

HH, I hope your DD is going to make an official complaint to the AA about her treatment.

((((hugs))) for those that need them.
