Awwwwwwww! I'm proper welling up here (I'm a sensitive soul, me..lol)! I saw your wedding pic in the Arms, and you definitely look absolutely amazing together, so beautiful and happy and shiny! I can't believe anyone would say such a despicable thing to you, I want to punch them in the face, and I'm not even violent. :o

Awww. :o I'm sorry. :o Thank you. :o My OH makes up for all the horrible things people have told me. :) He's a right star and definitely a keeper. He sees my issues more as quirks than problems. :o

I have been married to my soul-mate for 24 years. He is my rock and I would never have survived the dificulties I have had without him. My health is poor but he never complains about all the things he has to do for me.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Met up with a group of people from the internet (Sci-Fi fans) Saw him and it was BLAM!

Asked him to move in with me same day. 9 Years later he still is the most wonderful loving person I have ever met and we have a lovely, happy life together full of laughter and joy.

    I love you Pop XxX

I don't believe in true love with partners per se as my definition of true love is love that is unconditional and only my children and parents do I love unconditionally. Much as I love my DP and think he has a lot of wonderful qualities (a few pappy ones too...but then he is a man :D) I wouldn't love him and stay with him if he was unfaithful to me, greedy or beat me etc
I think "true" love within relationships endures - it is love, respect, attraction, friendship and kindness -acting as a bond to hold you together (no matter how loosely) when times get rough.

No person is perfect and imo to put your partner on an idealistic pedestal is asking for a slap of harsh reality at some point. However
I do believe that there are a lot of good/nice/wonderful men and women out there - so if you're still looking - never give up hope. ;) x x

Has anyone else met the love of their life?I have after two failed marriages and numerous pathetic relationships:D:D We seem to have such a laugh and complement each other's good and bad points.I've never been happier in a relationship:D:D

Your post has really made me :D. Considering the worry and trauma I know you are going through with other members of your family I am so pleased you are happy and in love.

I am married to the love of my life. Have had to kiss way to many frogs along the way but have definately now found the one.

My poor brother on the other hand is yet too. Each time he falls in love he reckons they are the love of his life. Reckon he is a cat with nine lives on the quiet, he is edging towards that number with ex loves.

My husband is the love of my life. :D So many people said that nobody would ever be able to love me (I have mental health issues) but my OH does. We got married in October 2010. :) We adore eachother and we have alot of fun. He's my best friend too. :)

I was so shocked when I read this post. I readily admit I have no knowledge of mental health issues. I do think it speaks volumes about your strength of character though, that you rise above people saying such cruel things to you, and lead a happy wonderful life.

As other posters have said everyone of us has many things that are loveable and deserve to be loved and respected. It is the people who can say such nasty things to you, that have the real issues I feel.

Really thought I had. We moved heaven and earth to be together. In the end I wished we hadn't bothered, lol.

Still I live in hope of one day meeting someone who I will be happy with. The relationship we had taught me an awful lot and now any future relationship will hopefully be better because of it.

I dont believe in regrets or thinking that part of my life was wasted. Every experience just nudges us closer to where we are meant to be.

    oh yes most definatly.

Before i met my hubby i was with R for a while i really thought it was the real deal, i thought i knew what love was.he was a great guy and we were good together, but when we were bad omg it was hell. but all the tears , the cheating etc seemed to get forgetton and we'd move on for the same to happen again.

I met my hubby when i was 19 ( my best friend knew hubby for years, hubby worked at the club where i went 3 times a week, i knew his family and i even dated a guy who lived 2 doors away from hubby and hubby knew him but we never met i guess fate hate plans for when we would meet) and omg, I finally found true love. what i thought was love before was nothign in comparison. Every day is like a fairytale and i enjoy every min. i feel so proud and lucky that i met such a wonderful man at the age of 19 and we got married a few months later. 10 years later , 3 children and a bump it is more amazing now than i could ever imagine.
he respects me totally and i him, he is the most amazing , loving , genuine, honest , supportive, thoughtful, wonderful caring guy ever.

i truely believe that when the time is right you will meet the right person. and when you do every minute will be fantastic. some are lucky to meet the right person at a young age, some later on in life. i definatly kissed way to many frogs but had fun while i did and i got the prince at the end. he was ( and is) my knight in shining armour riding a white horse. Well actually he was driving a white car when he resuced me but thats the modern twist, lol.
