Is anybody doing anything OS for the Royal Wedding?

I went into the works last week and bought some union jack cupcake cases with matching cupcake flags, two packets for £1 = bargain!
I wish someone was having a little teaparty! My OH will be staying with his friend... in London.. 3 mins from West Minster Abbey that day... they said they will be hibernating and not leaving the flat all day haahah0 -
We are having a 'British High Tea' party to celebrate in Cyprus. Everyone is bringing a plate of food. Should be fun, as we are two hours ahead we get to open the bubbly.Saving for the future 1 penny at a time0

Well I decided that I wasn't waiting any longer for someone else to organise something and have gone ahead with organising a red white and blue party! In fact, I didn't even mention the wedding on the invitation - not a deliberate decision honest!
Being very OS of course, we still have all the bunting from the last Queens Jubilee
I have just bought union jack cups and serviettes, but that will be it for the theming. We have a pergola as does my cousin so we shall use these in the garden and cousin has a thing for cake stands so there will be no shortage there!
We are sharing the responsibility for cooking the various dishes and dressing up is mandatory! I am making myself a red, white and blue Britannia themed outfit complete with rwb feather boa and hubby is getting a HM rbw waistcoat!!!:T
I am basing the menu on the Ritz afternoon tea - which is actually fairly standard stuff - egg mayonnaise bridge rolls, cucumber sandwiches, smoked salmon sandwiches (salmon is in the freezer left from Christmas!), chicken sandwiches, etc. Plus lots of scones and cakes of course. We are serving tea, a summer punch, a non-alcoholic fruity punch, sparkling wine and beer.
I managed to pick up some small union jack themed bad taste presents for the best dressed guests months ago as a "just in case" before the world went union jack mad! I will wrap these in some of the leftover fabric from making DH's waistcoat.
I have great memories of 1977 Silver Jubilee - I was 7 at the time. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
