i make quite a nice living thankyou very much and pay considerable amounts in tax. some say i'm quite talented. i'd just like others who also come from low income backgrounds to have the same opportunies i had if not better.
You should be able to give £500+ a month to charity then. I take it you do? You care so much about other people. You must be a goldmine for charities.I am not a financial expert, and the post above is merely my opinion.:j0 -
80% of costs are staff doesn't equate to 100% front line, so, if we're are implying the government are to blame for front line cuts, they might as well do away with all the management as the government is obviously acting as the manager, and the call centre should be outsourced to India, this will save many front line jobs, sorted.0

have you seen what these people are paid? do you think that's too high?

Exactly, I am sick to death of hearing about "employers paying low wages knowing they will be topped up by tax credits"
14k is poverty pay, especially working nights and especially when one is at risk. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

yeah brilliant, because outsourcing saves money... right?
WRONG!! ( as mant companies who have brought services back to the UK will tell you) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Would be happy to, but honestly, I think Brits really do it best.
Mind you, we should pay someone to do something that we already have plenty of for free, aint that the british way! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Prove there are net cuts in nhs front line staff across the UK please.
O wait, you cant? Ok!
P.s. Do you know what "net" means?
Yes it is that place where it feels like the nutters are in the majority
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
The whole 'no cuts to frontline services' line is just a huge lie. These people were elected on promises they have done their best to break. Frontline staff in Trusts are being pressured into pay cuts or redundancies, often with little to no regard given to contracts in place. Numerous people are leaving. Already short staffed departments are getting to even more dangerous levels. People, right or wrong, particularly junior doctors, are moving in droves to Australia and New Zealand in the short term.
Ambulance waiting times in my Trust can be up to an hour for an emergency call, with the ambulance drivers simply unable to handle the number of calls each individual ambulance gets. And further cuts are scheduled. Its all worded very cleverly but there are definite cuts. Then theres that genius married to a GP who wants to give all the spending power in the NHS to GPs, and is doing his best to push forward his proposal.
The NHS is a wonderful system, world famous, and I really hope these people are shifted out of power before they irrevocably damage it. Its moving towards an Americanised privatised system, and theres few healthcare systems in the world as damaged as the American one, copying their system would be the biggest mistake any country could ever make.0 -
Mr Bradley added that LAS is also reducing the use of agency workers to make savings.
This is similar situation to my local NHS trust. The level of spend on agency staff is horrendous. Though is being tackled. As the abuse of extended sick leave or the requirement to cover shifts if the employee's child for example is ill, costs money.
A local nurse was recently found to be a driving instructor for BSM while on long term sick leave (had been for 4 months for stress). Her luck ran out when had someone recognised her when she arrived to take them for their first lesson.0 -

Oh my word, that wouldn't happen to be the GP who owns the practice I am registered to would it? Goes by the name of Spinks. What a shambles of an outfit.0
