House price falls would be excellent for the economy

Stated last year, inflation would be higher and wouldn't be at the BOE target, which they kept saying it would be. Inflation wasn't at target, and isnt'. Get told I'm wrong, strip out the full VAT effect, it's not too bad. That's after being told I was wrong and it would be deflaton.
Mainly only been dopester fearing deflation hasn't it? Not sure.
Anyway you've been talking about inflation but saying wages won't (or aren't?) following it, and sure it's muted at the moment.
Do you now think they will play catch up a bit (as I do in a year or so) or stay way short of RPI/CPI etc?0 -
My wages are up 5.01% it would seem (just got my payslip).

I've had a payslip.
My pay has slipped. No it hasn't, it's fallen down the side of a mountain and is currently in intensive care.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -
It's because you are quick enough to jump down peoples throats and attempt to belittle them that makes you look such an ar*e chucky.
Instead of answering my question you try to wriggle out of it and continue to throw insults.
If you make a wrong statement MAN UP and admit you're wrong.
At the end of the day you made a wrong statement then give your stock answer of 'I can't be bothered to show you the evidence because you are too thick.'
Come on chuckster, grow a pair.0 -

I think the point here is that you admitted your error, but tried to turn it onto the person who tried to correct you "wow, you found a mistake of mine". These sounds like the words of someone who hates to admit they are wrong.
admitting you are wrong is never a problem.
it's quite cute to see that people have got so excited about me making a mistake. it's lurvely and sweet0 -
not at all old chap, we all make mistakes. some more than others.

Glad you are enjoying it.
Mistake made. Admit it (without trying to make the other person look like they are wrong for pointing it out) and move on.
I prefer to correct someone, or be corrected myself and continue arguing about the subject, rather than getting involved in a war of words about who said what. I think it's fair to say that I might appear to be a bit hypocritical here, as I have found myself involved in one or two "round and round arguments", but I do genuinely try to avoid that happening. I think we all find it hard to resist "fighting our corner" when someone has a pop. All the fun of the forum, I suppose, as the reality is that people like you, myself , Graham, Hamish etc all have our opinions (right or wrong, good or bad), but we aren't really going to change anything by making our opinions known here.
Anyway, onwards and sidewards.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

it's amusing how excited you've got and getting a little hard thing going just because you picked up on a typing error when i said price instead of demand.
It's the whole manner in the way you do it that makes you look like an ar*e chucky.
You continued to throw insults my way even though it was what YOU posted was incorrect.
As Dervprof stated you look like someone who hates to admit when they are wrong.
No one likes being wrong, it's just how you deal with it that shows what sort of person you are.0 -

Good stuff.
That will cover the care home the government will no longer be able to afford.0
