You must see by now Hamish says the best way to make things more afford able is to lend more to people so they can buy it.
Also don't forget that average wage to price ratio of buyers is below 4x so they are affordable, with that I am sure all Ferrari buyers could afford them so Ferraris must be affordable to all as well.
Remember the young don't deserve housing without 2 incomes working 50+ hours a week, how dare we expect anything near as easy as he had it.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

and don't forget the South West which is one of t'other regions RICS said had rising prices
Sorry chucky but I can't find that information. Can you please post it for me.
I don't know if I'm looking at the wrong thing but the RICS survey I looked at said prices were dropping in the South West. This was also confirmed in the latest release of figures from the Land Registry which said the monthly drop for the South West was I believe 1.2%.
So I'd appreciate it if you could post up some evidence to back up your statement.0 -

i won't bother looking for the link because i wouldn't bother trying to educate someone with your limited capacity.
You mean you realised prices didn't actually rise on balance in the south west, on the RICs housing survey for March, therefore tried to squirm out of posting evidence, by calling the poster to thick to understand.

I'm not very good at the economic talk, being just mrs average home buyer, not an investor, but how does this fit into any equations/comparisons/economics:
1982 me aged 20, husband aged 24 My salary £2k pa (yes £2000 per annum) His salary £5k pa Total £7k
Bought flat with £2k loan from bank for deposit and mortgage of £22k (Flat price £24k)
2010 daughter aged 23, fiance aged 23. Joint salaries £53k. Bought house with £21k deposit from savings mortgage £189K (House price £210k)0 -

here's exactly what i quotedDEMAND for property in the South-West was up last month, according to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
both you and shortchanged must be very, very desperate that you have to make stuff up or do you not understand that there is a difference between demand and prices.
now go back and check page 5 to tell me if i'm wrong and squirm out of this one...0 -
where in there does it say that i said prices were rising???
Erm
So I have now changed what you said, and you didn't type that? And I'm desperate?
Jesus chucky, you really know how to chase that tail of yours.0 -

does it make you feel better that you found it or do you still not understand that demand and price are two different things?DEMAND for property in the South-West was up last month, according to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.0 -
wow, you found a mistake of mine when i was quoting Demand.
Right, so why didn't you just say that, instead of calling other people thick, in reply to what YOU stated.
Why didn't you just said "yer, made a mistake on that, it's actually demand that was up".
Not sure what is so exicting about demand being up when they report falling prices anyway. However, fine. You win the internet.0 -
