well that was the whole point to question the Devon blokes interpretation of declining.

    Wasn't my interpretation chuckles.

It was the title of the BBC news item, and the interpretation from RICs.

interpretation of the English language is obviously a problem with you.

it looks like where you live that it's not declining
DEMAND for property in the South-West was up last month, according to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
    never mind. chin up.

    Hello Graham,

Has that LED TV been delivered yet ?

(Please, never actually buy an LED TV, as I enjoy this side-topic).

Well maybe you and chucks should write to the BBC for clarification.

I'm sure they will take your request for clarification very seriously.

CC RIC's in on the e-mail too. Tell them the error of their ways, and the fact that "declining" is too difficult a context to grasp. Please elaborate.

Graham, declining is a simple word to understand, it's how it's used that can cause some confusion.
As I showed in my examples, inflation being the most pertanent and recent one.
CPI inflation is declining, however inflation is still pushing prices higher.

Anyway, you seem to have missed this post, care to comment

Didn't realise buyer interest was declining. But confidence overall certainly seems to be.

The latest report from the CML shows an increase in transactions
    http://www.cml.org.uk/cml/media/press/2899
Increases in loans to both first-time buyers and home movers contributed to the boost to house purchase lending. First-time buyers made the largest contribution with the 12,400 loans (worth £1.4 billion) advanced in February amounting to a 13% increase in volume (8% in value) from January but an 11% decrease in volume (13% in value) from February 2010. The number of loans advanced to home movers increased by 6% (with the value unchanged) compared to January, but were also down from the same month last year, 12% by volume and 14% by value.

The market IMO is majorly picking up...

So much so, I think there will be price increases this year, ahead of expectations, from both economists and my own. Year on year positive at 3% positive HPI at least by the year end... Land registry... quote me later if you like.

No need to wait, that technology is here.

I suppose you might use the excuse that you want a fully LED backlit screen. Graham, I despair (more than chucky) with you. Well, not quite as much as chucky.
