sounds like a tescoism to me. a tescoism is something they make up for no reason other than to scare the poop out of us.

Had my first bad experience today! I did my shop and gave the voucher to the cashier, who immediately pressed her button for a supervisor. I asked if there was a problem, to which she replied we've been told not to accept these anymore as there's 'something going on' with them! 'Something going on', i replied 'what does that mean?' ;) She said i can't say too much, but we're not going to accept them anymore, we've been taking the signs down! I said but it says on the voucher it's valid until May 2011. When the supervisor arrived she took the voucher over to customer services and i was so scared that i nearly said i haven't got time for this, and was going to abandon my shopping and the voucher, but i braved it out!
When the supervisor returned she said we'll accept it this time, but we're not going to accept them anymore as it's ridiculous. She then went on to ask how i only spent £20ish and i got a £20 voucher back. I said because if i'd have done the shop in Asda it would have only cost £10 therefore Tesco's have doubled the difference! By this time there was a queue behind me and they were all staring at me and i wanted the ground to open up!
I don't know if there's any truth in it, but if i'm gonna be interrogated from now on i don't think my nerves can take it :( I'm just glad that she didn't ask my email address :D

Don't give up, they can not not accept your DTD voulchers if they are valid until May, it was more likely just the trouts idea of stop have to deal with it. Next time phone customer services there and then and watched them being told off! :D

Anyone know any of the coded tannoy messages that Tesco uses
If so add them to the thead below.

    eg

Would the plumber go to the basement - used to be used for a bombthreat without alerting / panicing customers unnecessarily - as they did not have a plumber and had no basement - whenever I heard this I used to run from the store :D

The one I hear all the time I enter the store is would so and so go to the Confidential Office ! Call it paranoia - but was wondering what it meant - thanks
    in advance,

:eek:What is the confidential office ? :eek:Is it where everyone can exchange DTD tips ?:rotfl::rotfl:

Soory if I am being a bit 'dippy' but do Mr T's accept the £5 off co-op vouchers that I can get from beforeibuy.com??
I am under the impression that they do from previous posts but not 100%??
TIA and well done to you all for all your hard work and contributions
    Yes they do
If you don’t speculate, you can’t accumulate.
  • Looking at the spreadsheet I have noticed what might be an error - Radox handwash x 4 is showing as £6.52 in tesco however when I was in there on Friday I noticed they were on offer for 80p each.
Not in My local T. Just brought them again and price is £1.63 each.
Also T web and mysupermarket show £1.63.

That's right, so whoever can see them at 80p just grab one, check the price at the till and if it's 1.6? go back and get the whole lot!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
pay and off to CS... (just pay for your dtd shop separately in case they mark your receipt with dtd instore)
