Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 4

Had a horrific experience...the penultimate set of numbers is 3 digits on the voucher and 4 digits on the receipt. So they refused to accept it!
I had that on six vouchers today, and was on the verge of photoshopping the missing digit onto each voucher. Someone on here advised me that the staff will still take them, and indeed that was the case. Seems it depends which staff member you get.0 -

You could print that bit where it says you can use you DTD coupon next time you shop and show it to SA. Here it is:Sorry...
This time, your shop would have been £5.28 cheaper at ASDA so we'll give you a voucher for double the difference back!
You can use it on your very next shop at a till in a Tesco store or by giving it to your delivery driver for a tesco.com online grocery shop.
Remember to bring your receipt or delivery note as this voucher is only redeemable with it.
Keep checking and we will try and do better next time.
Thank you for shopping with us.
TOTAL £ 10.57 £5.29
1 x MULLER RICE BLUEBERRY 190G £ 0.61 £ 0.25
2 x RIGHT GUARD ORIGINAL APD 250ML £ 4.98 £ 2.52
2 x RIGHT GUARD SPORT APD 250ML £ 4.98 £ 2.52If you don’t speculate, you can’t accumulate. :beer:0 -

1. For me the roast potatoes scanned at £2.00 so the person who got them for £2.50 maybe that was a store specific fluke?
2. The muller 4 for £2 promotion applies to ALL 'muller singles' so i got caught out very slightly then. As i got two corners and two muller lights and thought it wouldn't apply but it did and took off 0.44p. Might be good to indicate this on the SS.(though i think you do still get some DTD as they are only 25p in Asda? Will see for sure when voucher comes back.)
Other than that thanks so much everyone for your input in this thread and especially those working on the SS, it really is a fantastic help, especially when you are as generally un-organised as I tend to be!

I know we're all getting used to tesco paying us to take things away now, but you still get the mullers free even if you buy in multiples of 4!
If you buy 4:
T = £2 A = £1 DTD = £2
Net cost = Nothing!2014 wins: £15 iTunes voucher, £15 Amazon voucher, Sharwood's wok & sauces, Food Lover's Guide to the World book, £20 Tesco giftcard, Goodfellas x 3, Garnier skin cream, £25 Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito meal, £20 Frankie & Benny's, Panebello pizza, Harlan Coben book0 -
next shop for easter eggs on sel its 2.50 each great goes to the till and they scan at a £1 each arrrggh
I have struggled to spend my voouchers today.
Must have a back up plan lol
I'm in the same boat. People must be catching on because there were no chorizo rings and that was my main want, nor fox's cookies my next choice. They don't sell the ambre solaire stick I wanted either.
After last sunday's last minute dash, I swore I'd get there early and if my boiler didn't pack up I'd have made it. As it was I was under pressure and made a right hash of things. When I got to the till I didn't have enough to cover my voucher! Confused I ran back for more easter eggs and it still wasn't enough. Then checkout girl tod me the eggs were a quid each! I didn't want to make it too obvious so I didn't put any back but I'm worried that when I do the calcs I will have wasted several pounds
Just done my calcs, I just realised that my Right Guard wasn't there but I didn't put it back....... Oh well as long as I didn't pay for it, it doesn't matter too much but that's probably what threw my calculations off. I should get £17.70 back
moral of the story: Don't go when the store is closing!!0 -
As if we don't have enough problems getting vouchers without the numbers not tallying up - is this a deliberate ploy so that when we hit a snag at the checkout we eventually give up? Both of mine that came through today have different numbers and it's just not good enough. Can't they get anything right? It's 5 o'clock somewhere!0

Does anyone know if they're price matching ink cartridges? I'm looking at the HP 300 £15.97 in T's and £10 in A's. Might give it a go tomorrow and try it anyway.
Although with my luck in getting the vouchers back at the mo, it'll not come back!0 -

I had to go shopping on my own today with DS whos only 6...my OH is on a 13 hour shift, i dont drive and had 3 £20ish vouchers to use...walked to penarth tesco, sorted 3 shops, then had to pick the checkout to go to, no way i could go out and come back in with my lil one, had to choose between young teen mouse girl and what looked a little like santa...chose santa....who was lovely! let me put 3 shops after each other and wait while i ran off to get extras to make up the value of the voucher
