I hope my eyes weren't deceiving me, I went to Asda before for bread and other "cheaper than Tesco items" and it was still on offer, I bought some lamb from tesco with one of my vouchers

oops yea i meant expresses :o

I've always found the express round our way to be up to 4% more expensive. It also has a very strange selection of products - any number of varieties of curry sauce but lacking on more basics. I try not to buy too much from there.

Interestingly, the express near the swimming pool near the centre of town is much better and even stocks some value range. I think there must be a demographic thing going on.

  • I just shopped and used cash sod waiting for vouchers, I think I will shop all week using cash and that way I can build up a stock of vouchers so no waiting around for ones to arrive, the plus side is when the offer ends I will still have a weeks worth of vouchers to use instead of just one

Good point! I can't bear shopping like this, the stress is too much....I ended up in Morrisons after buying my Wolf Blass with my voucher.

I'm tempted to buy the leg of lamb but have no idea how I'd cook it?!

How are you guys cooking it? How many does an average leg of lamb feed?

In which case, sorry, but I'm not sure. In fact I'm not even sure you can spend them at Expresses (?). You could always take a drive out in my direction... ;)

They took a smallish voucher at my express the other night.

Was after frozen sausages which have, apparently, been discontinued  so had to get chicken breasts instead.

My first attempt and it's all falling apart - I may have jinxed the whole process by giving it a go, sorry if the vouchers have all been sucked into a black hole!

I've made this about 10 times. It's really really easy. Takes about 15 minutes prep in the morning, then you can just leave it until it's done. It's absolutely fantastic. Probably the best lamb I've ever had.
