I have been shopping at Tower Park, Poole - have you been there? By the way, I am even older "old school" - handwritten notebook!! and I get it out in public too!!!

I'm down that way next week, so I'll be trying some Dtd'ing in Poole and Bournemouth, i'll look out for your with your large printout!

How are they at taking vouchers in Bounemouth, any problems?

No problems there but dont go to Fleetsbridge one - they march you off to Customer Services and interrogate you!!!

If you want to pm me when you will be going to Tower Park, I will look out for you.

Hi everyone this is my area too. Used my first DTD at Fleetsbridge yesterday absolutely no problem, SA just said to me I think I need to sign your receipt don't I?? :rotfl:

Good to know Tower Park good too. Explains why all the bacardi has gone from Bournemouth near hospital all the way to Fleetsbridge but good to know I'm not the only one! :T

What a morning! I plucked up the courage to use my first voucher in my nearest store, it's a small branch and I've shopped there for 10 years so I was a bit nervy. The SA said she'd never seen a dtd voucher before, so she called over the superviser who didn't know what to do with it, and another member of staff, and they were taping away on the till trying to get into different things on the menu. I suggested they just scan it but they seemed certain that a very complicated procedure was necessary. After 10 minutes with what seemed like half the store spectating, a teenage boy walked past and said just scan it then sign her receipt. They did that, and I was away.

I was so giddy that I had spent one I decided to go to the big store 10 minutes away and spend my other voucher. I assumed it would be easier. Unfortunately I got a doddery old mantrout on the till. In his confusion he scanned my old receipt which seemed to put its cost onto my new bill, then he insisted vouchers could only be accepted with a clubcard. He called the manager over and told her 'she has this voucher and it can only be accepted with a clubcard', his manager parroted back at me 'yeah, it can only be accepted with a clubcard'. I was going to ask where in the t&cs this is mentioned but couldn't be bothered to argue and I could hardly admit I just spent one elsewhere with no clubcard, so I just put the shopping back into the trolley and left it there without paying. Stressy!!

Good and bad news. sorry you left the shopping. Perhaps if it happens again just askf for a temp one then you can register it later ;)
Clearly they [Tesco] found it hard to make a promise they couldn't keep." Asda Spokesperson.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

I'm off to do the ironing, OH comes home tonight, I have flung the vac around and sloshed some bleach in the bathrooms and the reed diffusers are smelling nice but apart from that I've been a right lazy old toad again sat here in anticipation.

You watch as soon as I leave they will be in.....

Never just a book by its cover. I'm a scouser but don't wear shell suits, don't rob car wheels and don't have curly black hair and say 'calm down' every 5 seconds ;)
We only have your word for that though, ;) .
Thanks for all your work on the board, hmmm working scouser, another myth dispelled then.

I have to say I try and pick out the younger assistants and the males. It sometimes seems as if the females want to show their importance and authority to get one over on you.

The bottom line is, that they now try any means necessary to put you off using a voucher. I've had this exact thing before about the clubcard and I pointed out that it was nonsense, they are just trying it on. If you call their bluff, they are quick to back down and put it through.

Don't be put off, if you are assertive, you will be fine.
