i didnt say i found it offensive. I answered why it COULD be offensive. I can see why some people could be offended, but it doesnt offend me.

I didn't think you did find it offensive and it was meant in good nature :)

In fairness, only a pi=key would find it offensive, surely?

What a morning! I plucked up the courage to use my first voucher in my nearest store, it's a small branch and I've shopped there for 10 years so I was a bit nervy. The SA said she'd never seen a dtd voucher before, so she called over the superviser who didn't know what to do with it, and another member of staff, and they were tapping away on the till trying to get into different things on the menu. I suggested they just scan it but they seemed certain that a very complicated procedure was necessary. After 10 minutes with what seemed like half the store spectating, a teenage boy walked past and said just scan it then sign her receipt. They did that, and I was away.

I was so giddy that I had spent one I decided to go to the big store 10 minutes away and spend my other voucher. I assumed it would be easier. Unfortunately I got a doddery old mantrout on the till. In his confusion he scanned my old receipt which seemed to put its cost onto my new bill, then he insisted vouchers could only be accepted with a clubcard. He called the manager over and told her 'she has this voucher and it can only be accepted with a clubcard', his manager parroted back at me 'yeah, it can only be accepted with a clubcard'. I was going to ask where in the t&cs this is mentioned but couldn't be bothered to argue and I could hardly admit I just spent one elsewhere with no clubcard, so I just put the shopping back into the trolley and left it there without paying. Stressy!!

If anyone has a lot of time on their hands... use can use this link to look at a lot of offers that are on at the moment in asda, by department.

Clearly the items to look out for are the ones with the biggest price drop (ie £2 - £1) and multibuys wit the biggest saving (ie £4each or 2 for £5).

Had a quick look myself but haven't time to go through in detail.... have fun :)

Most of what I have clicked is the same price in Tesco:(

The issue with some of the middle aged sales assistants who have been there for years is they see the voucher as a short diversion from the monotony of barcode scanning, they can get the supervisor (who is often a mate) over for a conflab and a bit of a drama.

The young kids and the guys , generally, just cant be !!!!ed with all that, they just want to get through the shift and talk to as few people as is necessary

Just making a shopping list...... with NORMAL SHOPPING in caps across the top of it, clubcard vouchers in + store specific £2 off £20 spend this week only, so this time, I've got to find the cheapest items! lol

Just hope I do remember once there!

And of course, to take my clubcard this time!
