If anyone has a lot of time on their hands... use can use this link to look at a lot of offers that are on at the moment in asda, by department.

Clearly the items to look out for are the ones with the biggest price drop (ie £2 - £1) and multibuys wit the biggest saving (ie £4each or 2 for £5).

Had a quick look myself but haven't time to go through in detail.... have fun :)

Well, she spoke in a broad irish accent, had half a ton of jewellery on, about 4 litres of fake tan and was accompanied by 2 children of about 6 or 7 years old, adorned in pink mini skirts, boob tubes, make up and enough jewellery to act as ballast for the QE11.............i'd say it was a pretty good bet.

Never just a book by its cover. I'm a scouser but don't wear shell suits, don't rob car wheels and don't have curly black hair and say 'calm down' every 5 seconds ;)

Not quite accurate. Many are being labelled trouts because they happen to be middle-aged women. People are avoiding them because they are being stereotyped by age and appearance ;)

I cant sya ive ever had a problem with one 'type' of SA, if anything they just don't know what they are. However i have had some staff go 'frosty' on production of a voucher if they have seen one before. :p

i didnt say i found it offensive. I answered why it COULD be offensive. I can see why some people could be offended, but it doesnt offend me.

TBF trouts have been labelled so for their change in personality when vouchers are produced, i find that slightly different to just naming people because of how they look to 'perfect' you.

TBF I didnt give the label but TBF if I did it would not be based on so much how they look but how they act... much like trouts

P.S thanks for noticing how perfect I am

That's a fair point. I'm tending to call all middle aged women on the tills - trouts - not because the way they look (there are some really nice looking ones:o) but because of how many of them are reacting to vouchers.

But originally trout were referred to as women/men who did pull a face like a trout, when the voucher appeared.

No idea if this has been said but I've updated the Ss with the fact that in todays's Sun newspaper, there's a £5 of finish voucher!

Get as many as you like (sort of!)

Do you happen to know what page it is on please so I can check before buying?

    Thanks

I try not to, but the evidence in this case, is compelling to say the least :)

I still have pictures in the family album of me, my brother and my uncle, all wearing matching shell suits bought for us, on christmas day in the early 80's............ it still haunts me!

    Hello All,
Wanted to warn you all to watch the price of the Kallo thick rice cakes, i buy these anyway and was making the most of DTD on them but yesterday they scanned at £0.50 in a Herts Store although SEL labelled at £0.98.

OH also bought some in Beds yesterday, SEL labelled at £0.50 but was charged £0.98! He was  at that but i was happy so explained for the umpteenth time why it was a good thing they overcharged us! :rotfl: Never thought i'd hear myself say that!!!
Anyhoo, not sure if this is one for the spreadsheet as suspect it might be localised ;)
