I m sure the last time I bought the lamb ( a week or so ago) , the Asda one was NZ, when it was priced at £12 odd a KG

    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:gpnzG0pII5IJ:groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/products/printpage.jsp%3FskuId%3D6037060%26pageConfigurationId%3D10000003+asda+grocery+rack+of+lamb&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk&source=www.google.co.uk

the above is from 24/3. (cancel the print page prompt).

i fold mine up in my coupon as i don't own a stapler :rotfl: i assume it saves them calling over a superviser or phoning up for authorisation with the digit missing which will make it easier for us :T

Agreed... the easier you make it for the cashier, the easier it is for you.

I am in and out like the preverbial sh*t off a Teflon shovel.

I tend to be really nice to the cashier, joke about the previous shopper and have a little chat as I put my lamb and Betty Crocker in my bag and then hand them over a beautifully cut out voucher and till receipt.

NB The picture on Tesco's site is different to Asda, BUT on the shelf was the same as Asda,

Asda (and this is what I bought from Tesco)

Tesco site (guessing old stock picture)

Hope it compares as descriptions are the same, and it has already been confirmed.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Which store was this? :j I'm in Belfast.

    Porthmadog?

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

p.s. re the £3.98 tins of salmon, I would imagine that it's ONLY us DTDers buying them (although I haven't bought any, I hate tinned salmon, ugh). :rotfl:

I'm not keen - it repeats on me :o

But I will use the one I have to make some fish cakes for my hungry hoard :)

I have just registered with this forum so I could say a big fat thank you :T to the people who have put together the spreadsheet and guidance on how to do this!

I have hated the way so many people like lemmings have shopped at Tesco under some kind of delusion Tesco's were good value and this illustrates just how much more expensive then ASDA they are!

I am so happy that now I can reduce the sickening profits that Tesco make by brainwashing their customers and squeezing the lifeblood out of there suppliers!

You know food price inflation very oddly went down over the last quarter and I really wonder if this has something to do with it. So what you might ask but this may well reduce the likelihood of an interest rate rise
  • Rubbish.... they cannot close / modify the DTD scheme yet without admitting that they are not the cheapest supermarket and they don't want to lose face it would me a P.R. nightmare.

Where have you been?? They have modified it twice already by capping the voucher to £100 and then the following day capping it again to £20.

They can pull it any time they like, and probably will so enjoy whilst you can :)
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)
