    Am going away on a girlie spa trip this w/e and although I am looking forward to a child free relaxing w/e I got a bit paniky about not being able to DTD for a few days!

    However, Have found 3 T's nearby: towcester, milton keynes and northampton, printed off directions etc and will try a couple down there.... has anyone had any good or bad experiences down there?

    TIA

    :o Right, I need somebody help me to work this out:

    I gone to Mr T yesterday and bought 1L Sirnoff Vodka - £20.49 ea or 2 for £26.

    I had a £20 DTD voulcher. I was at a checkout when it occured to me that I would be better off to get 2 for £26 and that way 2L of vodka only will cost me £6,
    instead if I buy one at the time for £5.50 after the DTD.

    Was I right? I for my life can not get my head around it... :p (I'm really tired). TIA :)

    I dunno if your calculation is right or not but that's not important. What is important is that by buying the 2 for £26 you'll not get another £20 voucher from Tesco. You've just killed the voucher.

    I m sure the last time I bought the lamb ( a week or so ago) , the Asda one was NZ, when it was priced at £12 odd a KG
    i think it's more to do with tesco's being the finest range & asda's being the extra special range that makes it work so hopefully that won't change :)

    No one cares. The more people who do this will mean Tesco will modify/close the DTD scheme.

    Rubbish.... they cannot close / modify the DTD scheme yet without admitting that they are not the cheapest supermarket and they don't want to lose face it would me a P.R. nightmare.

    you got 2 bottles for £26; factor in the voucher = 2 bottles for £6. BUT...you will not get another DTD voucher from that transaction.

    if you bought one for £20.49; factor in the voucher = 1 bottle for 49p. BUT this time, you could have got a £15 voucher.

    Tesco = 2 for £26 or £20.49 each

    Asda = 2 for £26 or £13.00 each

    If you buy 1 at Tesco you'd get £14.98 back as DTD. Cost for 1 bottle £5.51.

    If you buy 2 at Tesco you'd get no DTD back so in theory you'd be down by £14.98 and each bottle would have cost you £13.00.
