Instead of judging people on a forum simply on a single post, try answering the questions raised not pass on your morals onto them, if you don't like the question or the actions of a person just go elsewhere.

Just my opinion is all..I am as entitled to it as anyone else is their's..we are all judged on our actions and we all judge others by their's whether we care to admit it or not .
I don't for one moment think they should pay the PPC just that they ought to park elsewhere in the future.

Good point tho I will go elsewhere, after all I've had the advice I needed and avoided paying 3 PCN from APCOA so there is no reason to stay is there ?

so therfore anyone caught speeding doesnt deserve any help or anyone who has spent over the odds on shopping doesnt deserve any help with money saving tips, do yopu want to lend a torch? It must be dark stuck that far up your ar*e.
The op has come asking for advice about the ticket not to be absolved of his sins.

Speeding or spending ..hardly a comparison..one being against the law the other not.
I am entitled to the opinion that the poster should park elsewhere but I still don't believe they should pay the PPC.
As for speeding no I don't believe those people should be helped , they should not do it and if caught you pay the penalty ..may not be a popular view hereabouts but I'm still entitled to it.
(FYI I've had two FPN and as I was totally in the wrong I paid them )

Yep, because that is exactly what I said.

Well done, have a Blue Peter badge.

I don't have to explain myself to anyone, let alone a keyboard warrior. If you want to see my thoughts on PPC's, check my posting history.

That appears to be exactly what you said - After all, disabled spaces hardly seem to be operated as the "courtesy" that many folk claim.

And I may be closer to looking at a blue badge than Blue Peter Badge thanks! :p

Where exactly does it appear, that I am saying that?

I guess it depends how busy the car park was as to how 'morally' wrong it was to park there. It is very clear that it ain't illegal to park there any more than it's illegal to ignore the ticket.
  • Hi
Similar advice needed to the original post......
I used a local retail park and parked in a disabled bay (the bay was marked disabled, but there was no sign indicating you had to be a blue badge holder). I do have a disability (M.E, a condition covered by the DDA) but given that it's my hands and arms that are affected I have not registered for a blue badge as most of the time I do not need to access priority parking).
On this occasion, I was collecting a camping bed which I had pre-ordered from the retailer, on line. I then drove to the retail park to simply collect the item. Knowing that I would have problems carrying a bulky item to the car I chose to park in the disabled bay. On returning to my car I had been issues with a parking charge notice, for £90!!! from UKPC.
Should I ignore the PCN or write to them (using the template letter on this site) explain the mitigating circumstances?

The same advice is to ignore them, please don't appeal as its pointless as it will be turned down, and it will save the PPC £2.50 from the DVLA, they will write to the registered keeper but just ignore their empty threats.

And please create a new thread next time as it often confuses the issue and the thread you are going into - thanks.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

The hire company will just charge what method you paid them by plus a hefty admin charge, your only way to avoid it is to cancel the card you used to pay them IMMEDIATELY or your cash is gone which will be around £300 by the time they catch up with the hire company.
    Loose the card...OOPS LOST IT>>>AHEM WINK>>>
if it was switch its a direct debit visit the bank get them to fetch the debits up and cancel the one to the hire company IN WRITING to the bank quoting the "direct debit guarantee "
Let them whistle for the ppc money, put them in the same ignore box as the PPC letters

IGNORE, continue to Ignore unless you receive stamped sealed court papers, which you wont. If they get you to confirm name and address the trouble will really start. The fact they may have it from DVLA is worthless, they need you to CONFIRM IT..... DONT !

Threaten to sue the management of the retail park for harassment as it's agents acting on their behalf harassing a disabled driver whom parked in a disabled bay.
