No sprio.. I haven't paid what it was advertised for....i have paid £5091. Original price £6291 minus £700 (part ex) minus £500 (deposit) = £5091. Thats the cost of the car. Over and above that he's added on a 2 year warranty which he initially told us was FREE and added on a monthly insurance to our monthly payment that was NEVER offered/disclosed/asked permission for.

Again my issue isn't the cost I paid for the car but the fact he told us we were getting free warranty then charged us for it....can we cancel the warranty? And the insurance added on without our permission?

Paddlejohn I answered your question clearly...final price before my deposit was £5591 with £20 petrol and 1 years road tax...I never mentioned warranty or insurance being included.

Also please read my 1st post...my quesiton is can I cancel the warranty and insurance?
    Can you help with that?

Refer to post 8 when I answered your post 7

online the car was advertised at 6291, you paid 6291 (this is what you paid, and the deposit and the trade in) so wheres the issue?

The cost of the car is £6291.

You may have paid £5091 in CASH but in TOTAL you have paid £6291 - the trade in value and deposit are part of the payment towards the total cost of £6291. If you did not have a car to trade in you would still be paying £6291 but part of that would not be made up from the value of the traded in car. :wall:

  • put it this way see your part ex as cash. £700+£500+5095 =£6295 if you added the extra's at an optional ontop of that would take it up over £7000

so yeh he's added those for you free. what are you complaining about.

and to your question are manufacturers warrantys transfurable some are.

by purchasing SCREEN price and doing a deposit and part ex it only goes to the SCREEN price of £6295.00

It amuses me as to why everyone is banging on about the cost of the car!! Not 1 person has actually answered the questions I asked - can I cancel the warranty and insurance. If you couldn't give a simple yes or no answer to that then you shouldn't have replied to my post.

Anyway the warranty is now cancelled, £500 has come off the finance agreement and we've got an extra £20 petrol as an apology for the "misunderstanding" where we were told we were getting 2 years warranty for free then charged £500 for it.

    Take care :D

everyone was banging on about the cost of the car as it is completely relevant to the question :wall:

the answer to the question depended on whether or not you paid more than the advertised price of the car after agreeing to take the warranty

i still cant see where, if you paid the advertised price for the car, the extra 500 pounds was added on
