Can't get used to Blackberry phone

Hi thanks for your replies I've had the phone since Saturday. I also wish I hadn't taken out this contract before the other one ends. Is there anything I can do about that.
Where did you get it from?
If it's a store you may have no option to return it, there is no cooling off period in law for physical shops although some do offer one as a goodwill gesture.0 -
Get the Blackberry Pearl 3G, its a Blackberry with a non qwerty keyboard, I love blackberry but hate qwerty on small items - its impossible to type easily.
Pearl 3G is the best of both worlds, replaced my 3GS.
Vodafone were doing the Pearl 3G on payg for £139 on one of the online carphonewarehouse websites, 3 payg do it for £149.
If you want it on contract, which network are you on/prefer and what kind of allowances in your plan do you need & I'll have a look around for youSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

Hi, thanks for your replies. I swapped my Blackberry today for a Nokia X3-02 which I do like as I have had Nokia phones before. I did ask about the Blackberry Pearl before but was told that they are no longer making that model now.
Its the 3 store I got the phone from, I have been with them for a few years now.0 -
I currently have a Blackberry Curve, pay £22 per month on 3 network, my contract isn't due to end until 2013.
I am finding the phone keys a bit fiddly and don't know if I want to keep this phone until 2013. I know I can't get out of the contract this early unless I pay a fortune which I don't want to do. I was thinking of selling my phone and getting another one that way and just using my contract SIM card in the new phone but I just don't know which phone to get.
Previously I had a basic Nokia which I was happy with at the time but now I have got used to a smartphone I don't know if I could go back to the basic type. I have a friend whose got a Blackberry Pearl which would suit me with the old style keyboard but the smartphone features but 3 don't do this phone so I would have to buy one from another network so how would that work with my 3 contract?
I also wonder about an Iphone but would I need to purchase the Iphone apps separately as I now have the Blackberry apps on my contract. The Blackberry Torch looks good but with what I will get for my Curve I would have have to put a lot of money too for the Torch, probably the same with the Iphone.
I am also considering a Samsung touch screen phone but don't know how good they are. I have a friend who has one and when I had a go on the text on his I couldn't hit the right keys on it and it was really fiddly but he says you get used to it.
I don't want to make a mistake so am just looking for some advice before I do anything.0 -
Just in chatting...My friend bought a new blackberry on a facebook page, it was a "unwanted contract phone" he paid up and two weeks passed however they have blocked the phone on all networks and when he called o2 to ask why they said that the contract had been defaulted upon and the phone was the property of o2 and ask him to return it, which as it was bricked he did.
First time I have heard of them locking a default contract phone, mind you it was £400 worth..Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Mine does that if I'm viewing a page that has a youtube video embedded in it.Mortgage When Started in Dec 2006 = £160,699
Amount owing in Jun 11 = £128,400
Mortgage Free Date =Dec 2026 :eek:0 -
Try doing a battery pull. Or it could be a software reload/upgrade.0
